Join me on Facebook! http://www.facebook.com/TomsturboGarage In this episode, we take my 1991 Eagle Talon AWD turbo to Knoxville Dragstrip to do some shakedown runs with the new turbo setup. Knoxville Dragstrip is 890 feet above sea level. The air temperature during these runs was 65 degrees and the Density Altitude was 1,814 feet above sea level. For all three runs the Boost was set at 27 psi and a 50/50 mix of 93 octane pump gas and 110 octane race gas was used. The car's race weight was approximately 3,390 pounds with driver. CLK 270 CDi Turbo Charger Upgrade
Old turbo was ok, needed more power so had turbo Dynamics take a Garratt turbo and fit a larger compressor wheel with ball bearing conversion, bronze ball bearing carriers and a larger Turbine Wheel. As you all know more airflow equals MORE POWER (with the correct modifications and ECU mapping)! Sold my old turbo charger on ebay and it almost paid for the new turbo (but not the internal conversion). Power from the new turbo is exceptional. Very Happy.

K.P. Tuning Evo 8 721whp 6266 meth 36psi dyno pulls
K.P. Tuning hitting the Dyno for the last time in 2011 with the new 2012 setup. Using JMF's new vband turbo kit and a pte6266 turbo the car laid down 721whp on the Dynojet at 36psi. The car is only on a single 675ml nozzle for the meth and is running a Clutch masters fx300 with a 4 puck disc as of now.
