Our 1972 Trans Am with new crossflow muffler from Waldron Exhaust accelerating from low speed.
The transverse-mount muffler uses tubing that's traditionally routed and is designed for improved airflow over an original. The numbers-matching 455 HO engine features a Nunzi hydraulic flat-tappet (222/232@ 0.050-inch duration) camshaft, but is otherwise stock.

The 1973 Pontiac Trans Am is the finest TransAm that Pontiac ever built. The 1973 Trans Am is a Second Generation Firebird (2nd gen is from 1970 to 1981). Of the less than 5,000 that were built, the 455 SD (Super Duty) with a 4-speed manual transmission is one of the rarest birds out there as only 72 were produced. This is the American muscle car dream!
