1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 for sale Test drive with Tom Laferriere
Laferriere Classic Cars very rarely deals with Muscle Cars, but we had to make an exception for this automobile. 1970 Boss 302, vin# 0T02G116160 color, code N, Pastel blue 1 of 66 Boss 302s built in this color (http://www.boss302.com/paint.htm) correct 1970 Boss 302 engine, however not numbers matching. Close ratio 4 speed and 3.50 gear posi rear with sway bar are correct and original to car. The casting numbers on the block are D0ZE 6015 B There is not a VIN number on the block. The casting numbers on each of the heads are D0ZE The numbers stamped on the top of each inner fender apron are 1T116160. This is correct for a Metuchen built car. Only cars built at the Dearborn plant have the complete VIN stamped in this location. This car was factory equipped with a shaker, however the shaker itself is aftermarket. The engine was rebuilt approximately 3,000 miles ago with all internals being high performance including H beam piston rods and roller rockers. Complete brake system and front suspension have also been replaced. Interior is very nice with a small tear on the drivers seat back appx. 4" long and some holes drilled in the console. Car is solid underneath and the exterior shows well, upon close inspection you will see some touch up spots and a couple of small dings. I am sure you can find a defect everywhere when you look at the car in detail Engine compartment has been recently detailed. Rear quarters and front fenders were replaced years ago when it was painted. Original correct Ford Boss 302 front fenders are included in the sale. I cannot stress enough the drivability of this car. Very tight with no rattles, squeaks, or funny noises. The engine runs beautifully and the clutch and transmission operate exactly as they should. Clearly pride of ownership. I would rate this car as a #3 with strong focus on mechanicals. Pictures should clearly show condition, many more can seen by clicking this link Please view the Marti report details for further info. Call 401.651.2295 EST for quick response to your questions. Worldwide Shipping happily arranged. If you need specific photos, just ask. A personal inspection or an inspection on your behalf is highly encouraged. We have priced this car to sell. Sold with RI registration in owners name (RI is a non-title state for older cars) and Bill of sale.

PONTIAC - stock Pontiac Super Duty 421v8/405hp vs stock Chevy 409v8/409hp on DYNO
WATCH THE VID TO SEE HOW CLOSE THEY Dyno TO THEIR FACTORY 405hp/409hp ratings. Growing up.....Pontiac/Oldsmobile old timers/EXPERTS who taught me most of what I know, often told me Chevy rated their horsepower in a more optimistic way than say Oldsmobile or Pontiac. I've even heard Pontiac rated/tested their engines in a 100 degree room, compared to Chevy in a 60 degree room. These Dyno results seem to reflect that some of what I heard was true. Both of these engines are great, but the results do seem to show that Pontiac was not rating their horsepower worrying if it would cause "songs to be written" about their engines .... like the great song "She's real fine my 409"--(Chevy).
