engine blows up part 2
this car was a junk yard car. the engine was about the only thing that worked on it and the car was going to be crushed, no one wanted to buy the engine or anything else so we blew it up just days from being a sardine can.
Engine Blow up at school
This is what happens when you don't tighten the cam shaft bolts to specs. We took the engine apart and all of the valves needed to be replaced because they were bent. The top of the pistons all had the indentation from the Exhaust and intake valves.
Opel Kadett engine blow & fire
A redneck repair on the engine mount could not fix our Opel Kadett, the engine was to bad to do another jump. Time for an engine blow, some unexpected fire did make it kinda spectacular.
De reparatie aan de motorsteun was niet voldoende om onze Opel Kadett klaar te maken voor nog een sprong, de motor was te slecht. Tijd om de motor op te blazen, een brandje maakte het nog wat mooier.

Volkswagen Engine Blow
How long can a Volkswagen engine run at top RPM with no oil? This is annual event at the Maritime Volkswagen Owners Club (MVOC) show. This video is from the 1998 show. UPDATE: From comments., I see that some folks don't understand the reason we did this. This is a common event at many Volkswagen shows. The purpose is to show how duriable an air-cooled VW engine is. Try doing the same with another type of engine!? Plus, the VW engine can be repaired quickly and cheaply with hours.
