My 67 Fastback Mustang
participating in the 2008 Shelby Club Vintage Exhibition Race held during
the Mini-Nats celebration at Thunderhill Raceway. This is a great event
that the Nor Cal Shelby Club puts on once a year, and I'm extremely happy
to be a part of it. This video is in three parts due to the length of the
Mustang GT-1 Trans Am Racing at Road America
Take a few laps in my 1998 Mustang GT-1 TA car at Road America
during the 2011 Kohler International Challenge Group 10 race as I battle
current Grand Am and World Challenge cars piloted by road racing legends
Jack Baldwin and Brian Kubinski. Thanks to my great crew, RT Restorations,
and George and Cheri Forge from Motor Masters that helped me land this old
girl right in the middle of Winner's Circle! Be sure to watch in HD and
don't miss the "on the grass pass" of the Cobra Challenge car into turn 12,
or the race up the hill into turn 6 to grab 2nd place from the WC Corvette.
1965 Ford Mustang Fastback prepared by Holman Moody and Pathfinder Racing
This video is about 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback. It was an old race
car found 3 years ago and prepared by Holman Moody and Pathfinder Racing
into a tribute to the Tour de France Mustangs that clean swept the field
at the 1965 Tour de France road rally (similar to a Targa event).
289 V8 4v HiPo. Redline is 7000rpm but I was changing at 6500rpm on the
straight and sometimes short shifting to avoid wheelspin. Largely FIA
spec except for the 4 wheel disc brakes). Set up for road and track use.
Really needs a better set of seats to locate me for track work. Brakes are
race pads - need to get heat into them to work. The tires are BF Goodrich
radials - so rubbish. I was getting wheelspin at 3000rpm in 3rd gear on
Turn 5 at Lightning. Not the place for that to happen. Despite that it
was a blast to drive - nice and slidey!
This was last session for the day. Unknown to me in the final 2 laps the
drivers side rear axle seal started leaking. Fairly easy fix - just time
Shelby GT350 Racing in Pueblo - Part 1
Great in-car footage from the Trans-Am Feature race at Pueblo Motorsports
Park on June 2, 2006. Starting on back row in 20th to slice way up to 4th
place finish! Lots of passing! Note: Gary had never been in this car
before, aside from a few warm up laps before this race and this was the
first time he'd run this track!) First 10 minutes of 17 minute video.
Part 2 is last 7 minutes. Updates on events can be found at:
