Viper Maverick VS Ford Ranch Wagon - Project Car Dilemma
Have you ever been waist deep into a project car build and just when you
feel it's hopeless...another project lands in the driveway? Welcome to my
car guy confusion.
As you may know (if you don't just glance at a few of my other videos) my
Maverick project keeps getting derailed. Whether it's lack of funds, time,
space or energy, I keep losing momentum on that project.
I'm sure all hot rodders deal with this dilemma at some point.
So now I've got this cool '66 Ford Ranch Wagon and it's rough but it's a
runner and the more I drive it, the more I like it.
In this video I pose the question...
When is a project too much and how do you choose which project car to work
on when something more reasonable falls right in front of you?
I've never been this close to giving up on the Viper Maverick and putting a
for sale sign on it.

first start up 460 turbo blow thru turbo maverick 91mm grabber 73 big block c6
this is the first time it has been started with the turbo it did good it is a totally stock 74 truck
460 only mods are ported exh. side of the heads and a .500 lift summit cam
and arp rod bolts it has a 2 barrel on it just to start it , it will soon
have a 800 holley , just to help some of you guys out the manifolds will
not work upside down the ports are offset between the bolts i will have to
make headers soon for it to perform
Dodge Viper V10 in a Ford Maverick Build Video 2 - New Work Space / Inspection and Plans
This is the second video entry for the build up of the Viper Powered FORDGE
The first was when I brought the car home from storage and for many reasons
never got farther on it. Then my friend and mentor Mike Fennel offered me
a spot in his shop and I jumped at the opportunity. With the help of my
good friend Jamey Smith, who has built and restored dozens of cars
(including several 69 Dodge Charger General Lees), we loaded the Maverick
on a trailer and cleared a spot for it at Mikes.
I took this chance to have the two of them look over the car as it sits to
see if there is anything they would change before we move forward.
Turns out, the car is in pretty good shape!
Now it's time to chase down some very important parts and see if we can get
the thing started. My budget has been completely demolished over the last
few years with other projects and just surviving so I'm going to have to be
very creative on funding.
