Ford GT40 Lapping at Sebring International Raceway (Onboard)
This is a 1966 GT40 model Mk.I doing some relatively low-speed test laps at Sebring International Raceway's 12-hour long course. Filmed during a NASA HPDE program, the car was in a mixed driver/vehicle group. Passing was strictly limited to specific track locations and required a 'point by' from the driver being passed. This car is Superformance chassis number GT40P/2192 built in 2008,and is registered in the Safir GT40 and Shelby Registries. This particular car was featured in the March 2009 edition of Car & Driver magazine. GT40P/2192 was built by Pathfinder Motorsports, which sells race-prepared continuation model GT40s for vintage racing and for the street. For more info: www.GT40racing.com

Swedish driver Kenny Brack, winner of the 1999 Indianapolis 500 and the 1998 Indy Racing League Champion, seemingly shrugged off the track conditions. While his hands are never still for virtually the entire lap, the 47-year old Brack took command of the powerful GT40 he shared Red Bull Racing Formula 1 engineer Adrian Newey to post the second fastest qualifying lap for the Whitsun Trophy.
