1992 Dodge Daytona IROC R/T~Learning to Fly-pt 1.wmv
The buildup of my 1992 Dodge Daytona IROC R/T begins.... Goes from mild
stock to pretty wild in the 4th video. This particular Daytona IROC R/T was
1 of the first 5 ever made and carried the PVP (pre vehicle production)
pilot car badge to prove it. It was a very fun car, and will be missed. It
goes from a 15second car to a decently quick car by the 4th video over a
span of a few years. Enjoy.

1984 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z MaroonSlvr NSmyr052212
This car looks very familiar...very similar to the '85 Chrysler Laser turbo that I had! I think the top brass at
Chrysler were determined to turn the K-car into a sporty little
machine..and this was a good attempt. The interior was made of quality
materials...I had trouble with the linkage of the manual transmission.
1985 Dodge Daytona Turbo
A video of my Daytona, there hard to find now. I had one for my first car
back in 1995 and always thought they were neat cars. 2.2L turbo, 146 hp and around 170 torque was not bad
back in 1985. I recently sold this car to a young kid I'm hoping he don't
The 180 MPH 1969 Dodge Daytona: "Project Angrier"
The Smoking Tire heads to East Hampton to terrorize yuppies in the baddest
muscle car around: Mr. Angry's 1969 Dodge Daytona. Blasphemous to some,
envied by others, this is one tire-shredding muscle machine we'll take in
our garage any day.
Dodge Daytona CS
There were changes for the 1986 Daytona. The middle "turbo" model was dropped, leaving just two models:
Base and turbo Z. Engine changes were
also made: A new 2.5 L 100 hp (75 kW) 4-cylinder engine was added for the
base model. A new t-roof package was added to the option list, but just
5,984 Daytona owners chose this option. The biggest addition was the
optional C/S (Competition Series). This consisted of 32 mm (1.3 in) front
and 28 mm (1.1 in) rear anti-sway bars, performance tuned struts, and speed
rated tires. This package would foreshadow the Daytona Shelbys of 1987 and
beyond. Only 7,704 owners added this handling package to their Daytonas.
Total production this year would be 44,366.
How To Swap Piston on Connecting Rod at Home - 4.8 Flat Tops into a 5.3
In this video I am pulling one piston out at at time from a 160k mile 5.3.
This 5.3 will be going into my 1987 C10. I then show the removal of the
dished 5.3 piston from the connecting rod and then the mount of used 4.8
flat top pistons back onto the connecting rod. Then the 4.8 piston and rod
are inserted back into the block. This is all happening at home in my
garage with basic tools. I do use a press to remove the 5.3 piston but you
could easily use the propane torch for the removal by reversing the
mounting procedure that I show with the torch.
By installing flat top 4.8 pistons into a 5.3 the compression will change
from 9.5:1 to 10:1. Later I will mill the heads .030" to achieve about
