2013 Scion FR-S Review - Kelley Blue Book
Known as the Toyota 86 or GT-86 in foreign markets, the Scion FR-S (along
with its close sibling the Subaru BRZ) is the product of a close
collaboration between Subaru and Toyota. Years in the making the FR-S is
specifically engineered to deliver thrilling rear-drive performance at a
modest price. KBB's Micah Muzio had an opportunity to drift the FR-S, test
it at the race track and experience it on the streets to see if it lives up
to the hype. Spoiler alert, it does.

2013 Scion FR-S vs. 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Comparison
The affordable sports car shootout.
AutoGuide asks the question: which affordable rear-drive sports coupe is faster, the Scion FR-S or Hyundai
Genesis Coupe? And does faster
mean the most fun?
Affordable rear-wheel drive sports coupes, especially those hailing from
the other side of the Pacific, have historically been a rather rare breed.
But now, thanks to Hyundai and Scion, us regular folk have not one but two
inexpensive rear-wheel drive sports coupes to choose from that don't
feature big thirsty engines or pony car badges.

Scion FR-S first drive from Consumer Reports
The entertaining FR-S goes against Toyota's image of building only boring
cars. Essentially identical to the Subaru BRZ, the Scion FR-S differs only
in some tuning, styling and equipment details. Read our blog for more

2013 Scion FR-S/Toyota 86 Chief Engineer Tetsuya Tada Interview
http://www.facebook.com/gtchannel for exclusive content and free giveaways.
Two automakers, Toyota and Subaru, formed an alliance, integrating their
advanced technologies and instilling their passion in the development of
the "86"/Scion FR-S. The development keywords, "Built by passion, not by
committee!" symbolizes the passion of each and every person involved in the
project for creating an ideal sports car. The passion then led to the birth
of a car that responds precisely and intuitively to the driver's

2013 Scion FR-S Walkaround Car Review Video
http://www.autobytel.com/scion/fr-s/2013/ The 2013 Scion FR-S is a true
sports car in the fact that the layout is a front engine design with the
rear wheels driving the vehicle. The FR-S is a well balanced machine that
focuses more on handling that outright power. Out back the 2013 Scion FR-S
features LED tail lights and a great dual Exhaust. The 17-inch alloy rims are wrapped in
summer tires. Under the hood is a 2.0 liter Boxer engine that makes 200 horsepower and 151
lb-ft. of torque. The Boxer engine sits very low in the chassis which is
reflected in the Scion FR-S's low center of gravity.
The first thing you notice when getting into the 2013 Scion FR-S is how low
the seats are. In fact you are sitting only 15 inches above the ground.
This minimizes body roll and helps to maximize handling capabilities. The
FR-S sits lower than a Porsche Cayman and just a bit higher than a Ferrari
360. The leather wrapped steering wheel is just over 14 inches and features
integrated controls. The steering column is also fully adjustable to meet
the driver's needs.
The 2013 Scion FR-S is purpose built to be a very affordable sporty car. In
fact Scion has made many engineering and design choices around the fact
that most owners will want to modify this vehicle in one way or another.
