Auf der MotoGP Strecke in Jerez de la Frontera präsentierten die Bayern ihr neues High-End Superbike BMW S 1000 RR HP4. HP steht für High Performance und damit verspricht der deutsche Motorradproduzent nicht zuviel. Der Technologieträger ist bestückt mit Race-ABS (mit IDM Setting), Traktionskontrolle von -7 bis +7, Launch Control für perfekte Starts und erstmals mit einem elektronischen Fahwerk, das sich an den dynamischen Zustand des Fahrzeugs und an den Fahrbahnzustand anpassen kann. Mit dem Calibration Set stehen dem Fahrer schier unendliche Einstellmöglichkeiten zur Verfügung. Schade ist, dass man das Competition Paket mit Carbonteilen und einstellbaren Fußrasten und Hebeln extra bestellen muss. Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen, den man leicht verkraften kann, denn das Motorrad ist eine Sensation. Das findet nicht nur Ex-Superbike-Weltmeister Troy Corser, den wir interviewen konnten.

DC Shoes also provided fellow DC athlete and longtime Ken Block friend, Travis Pastrana, to make a cameo appearance on his dirtbike, and S.F. resident Jake Phelps of Thrasher Magazine fame also makes a cameo as Block hoons S.F. in his most incredible Gymkhana yet.
