2012 Buick LaCrosse eAssist Review: The Slybrid of Hybrids
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) Mechanically speaking, the 2012 Buick LaCrosse eAssit is a hybrid of a hybrid. A full hybrid, like Toyota's Prius, or hybrid competitors to the Buick like Lincoln's MKZ and Lexus's HS 250h, can run on battery power alone during some urban driving. Not the LaCrosse. In terms of preserving the planet, Buick's simplified hybrid system essentially works to shut off the engine when the car stops (like at a stoplight) and when the vehicle is decelerating or coasting. However in America in it comes with a 2.0L turbo. The brand new Hyundai Azera doesn't really compete with the Regal GS, but instead competes with bigger cars like the Toyota Avalon or perhaps the Buick LaCrosse. 2012 Buick Verano Drive and Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2012 Buick Verano is based in large part on the European Opel Astra. But if you were to look at the two cars side-by-side you'd have a hard time telling that they are cousins...perhaps distant cousins. The American Verano gets a large dose of Buick's newest DNA to keep a strong family resemblance to the Regal and LaCrosse...both inside and out. The Verano's 2.4-liter Ecotec engine cranks out a humble 180 horsepower which is better for economy than performance getting over 30 MPG on the Highway. The Verano drives like a quiet German sedan and that's because under the skin it really is a quest sedan.
