The late, great, Modified eliminator. If you've never witnessed Modified
Production and Gas-class cars in action, you really missed drag racing's
most exciting era!
Sure, drag cars are making more horsepower and torque than
ever, with resulting quicker and faster ET's and MPH, but the sounds of these
high rpm, manual shift race cars--sans any electronic rev limiters--is no
longer around. Ditto for the mean sounding/cool looking dry hops, as the
cars approach the start line (after the burnout) is unfortunately, a thing
of the past.
