Drift Car Rally Tyre review 180sx

Some Aussport Rally tyres, 3 years old are reviewed by Ketz and the team out at Winton Motor Raceway in Benalla. Thanks to Geoff for providing the tyres and also driving the car during the day! The car is a Nissan 180sx and this was the second session of the morning. A separate video is about to go up of the 1st session of the morning with some road tyres as a comparison (although this session was a bit rusty as well!) Ian in the passenger seat is a robotics engineer and is quite qualified to talk about electric cars and motors in motorsport! Ketzal Stirling is the awesome NZ High Octane series presenter and producer!

RB26 180sx Drifting @ Powercruise
My brother drifting his RB26 Nur 180sx at Powercruise at Eastern Creek Raceway. This was his 3rd and final lap after the car had an engine drama during his 4th lap. This was his first time driving on this track and his first time driving the car in the dry, so he done well considering his lack of experience. This was filmed with a Contour HD. http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=427724&st=0 - Build thread and car specs! http://hitandrundc.wordpress.com/ - Team Hit and Run!!

Ebisu Circuit Togue Course 180SX In Car Drift (Fisheye Lens)
Practicing with my recently fixed 180SX at Ebisu Circuit's Togue Course. The first lap is just a run of the course (0:00 to 1:30) and then after that it's all practice. This was all shot with an iPhone 4 and fish eye lens. For anyone who is not sure about the Spec of the car, its an SR20DET, with slightly larger turbo, and some other common drift parts.

Tyre Safety: Premium v. Budget Tyres Wet Braking Test - Continental Car Tyres
Choosing a tyre can be difficult. They look similar and until you get them on the car, you don't know how they are going to perform out on the road. Watch this wet braking test to see the difference between a set of premium tyres and a set of cheaper budget tyres that look similar but perform very differently on the road. The budget tyre took an average of 14 metres or 3 and 1/2 car lengths extra to stop. When the premium tyre had come to a stop, the car on budget tyres was still travelling at 31mph.

Tread Depth: Auto Express Tyre Safety Tests - Continental Car Tyres
Continental believes that the risk of accidents on Britain's roads could be significantly reduced if tyres* were replaced at a tread depth of 3mm instead of 1.6mm. In the wet, the difference between 1.6mm and 3mm of tread depth could be the difference between stopping in time or hitting an obstacle at 50mph. In wet conditions, it took a Ford Focus 91m to stop with 3mm of tread. In the same car with the legal limit of 1.6mm of tread it took 135m to stop - 50% further. These investigations were undertaken by Auto Express and their startling results can be seen here...
