1971 Nova owned by Duane Rush
My 1971 Chevy Nova I bought out of a junk yard and restored in 1994. I
couldn't afford to pay anyone so did bodywork myself (never did it before).
I got someone to paint it for me after I finished body work. I choose
Bahama blue PPG paint. I installed a .30 over 350 small block with Keith
Black pistons. I used a 620 lift Doug Herbert solid roller cam with Harland
Sharp roller rockers. Double hump heads were fitted with 2.02 intake and
1.60 stainless Exhaust valves. I used
a Edelbrock Victor Jr intake with a Barry Grant 750 cfm carb.
1 3/4" Hedman headers with 3" Exhaust
in 2 chamber Flowmaster mufflers. I also installed a 4.11 Auburn posi-
unit rear end. 12 gallon fuel cell with Moroso blue fuel pump sends the
race fuel to the engine. Aluminum radiator with eletric fan and a Moroso
electric water pump drive does the cooling.
New interor from Year One was installed after all painting was done. I
wasn't trying to nor was I able to build a "showcar" I just wanted a nice
lookin and sounding Nova to cruise around in.

Its a 355 Chevy small block with Aluminum AFR 210 eliminator race heads,
comp roller cam, j&e pistons, super victor intake , a 1050 holley
dominator, and a nx Nitrous plate system
1979 malibu 500 hp.
355 ci small chevy, 11.1 compression, dart pro1 heads, xr286 solid roller
cam,and 3500 converter.

1989 C4 Corvette 355 ZZ4 Block
Just picked up my new Vette. Beautiful car as it is but i have big plans
for it! Has a zf 6 speed(blacktag) and a dana 44 rear end with 3.54 gears.
I'm doing a fully forged full roller 396 build this winter. Got some crower
stroker rods, eagle crank, AFR 210 heads, SRP flat top pistons etc all in
the line up. Check back for progress of the build!
Frank Giovenco LX Torana
This is Frank Giovenco's 1974 SLR Torana. The car runs 9-second quarter
mile times, and has a 400 small block Chev engine for grunt.
It has the following mechanical specs:
4 bolt mains, steel crank, Carr H beam rods, JE 12.5:1 pistons, Comp Cams
solid roller cam, Crane roller lifters, Edelbrock Shaver aluminium heads,
T&D shaft mount roller rockers, Crower injection stack, Waterman fuel pump
and a Moroso vacuum pump. There are also fabricated aluminium valve covers,
breather tank, fuel cell, overflow tank and radiator, and full custom
fabricated extractors. The engine has a Powermaster starter, and drive is
achieved with a transbraked Powerglide that has a BTE deep sump, and an
Allfast 8in Slingshot 5500 hi stall converter.
Other features include a Final Drive Engineering custom tailshaft, Strange
full spool 9in diff with a 4.56 ratio and 35-spline axles. A full chassis
kit is attached to the body, and it has a full chrome-moly 6-point roll
cage with full interior and Velo competition seats at the front. A g-force
harness has been fitted, and it has a fully detailed engine bay and
underbody with braided hoses and Earl's fittings throughout. It has fuel
shutoff and parachute levers, EGT gauge, fabricated aluminium dash fascia
with Stewart Warner tacho and gauges, Weld Rodlites 15x10 rear wheels and
15x3.5 front with M/T slicks rear, and M/T Front Runners.
