2013 Ford Fusion Test Drive & Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/ford/fusion/2013/?id=32972 The 2013 Ford Fusion gives you is a lot of car for the money. The mid-sized sedan segment is hotter than ever! It seems like a different manufacturer is releasing an updated and improved model every few months. The Koreans offer cars like the Kia Optima and Hyundai Sonata, Nissan has the all new Altima, and now Ford is ready to play catch-up with the all new 2013 Fusion. There are 3 different trim levels ranging in price from $21,700 - $32,200. For 2013 Ford is offering 3 different engine choices available with the Fusion. The base engine is a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder Duratec 16-valve engine that makes 175 horsepower and 175 lb-ft. of torque that manages 22 MPG in the city and 34 MPG on the highway. The 1.4 liter EcoBoost engine is most likely going to be the most popular engine. While power output may not be that great at 178 horsepower and 184 lb-ft. of torque, the fuel economy ratings of 25 MPG in the city and 37 MPG on the highway will be the selling point. The most powerful engine is the 2.0 liter 4-cylinder EcoBoost which makes 240 horsepower and 270 lb-ft. of torque with gas mileage ratings coming in at 22 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway. The transmission of choice will be the 6-speed automatic, but there is a 6-speed manual option. There is also an AWD model available. As the mid-size segment heats up, there will be front runners that do everything well and especially excel in one particular area. The Honda Accord has great engine choices, the Optima/Sonata get excellent fuel economy, and the Passat has a well sorted interior and comfortable ride. The spot where the 2013 Ford Focus rules is in the styling department. The Fusion just looks so good while in motion or when standing still. The front end is clearly inspired by Aston Martin, the headlights and wheels are aggressive, the roofline is similar to that of the Audi A7, and the rear tail lights look like they come from Maserati. The interior is much more mundane than the outside and that's OK. The styling is German inspired with a touch of simplicity. The ergonomics are excellent and there are many technological gadgets integrated like the Ford MyTouch system. The 2013 Ford Fusion is a great looking car with a nice selection of engines and a well sorted interior. The base price is very affordable and the higher trim levels come packed with all the bells and whistles that give the Fusion a very premium feel. 86FEST Import Car Show Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ and Toyota AE-86 @ Fontana Auto Club Speedway
http://www.autobytel.com/scion/fr-s/2013/?id=32972 Autobytel's own FR-S fanatic T.J. Keon was recently invited out to Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA for the first ever 86FEST, a gathering and celebration of all things Toyobaru and pays homage to the original AE-86 with everything from a car show to on track activities. We were fortunate enough to catch up with the man who loves little red Hachis more than anyone else, Antonio Alvendia, from Cipher Garage and MotorMavens.com and is responsible for 86FEST. Scion Racing driver Ken Gushi was also on hand to talk about drifting as well as daily driving an FR-S after signing a few autographs and smoking a few sets of tires. Finally we were able to catch up with Speedhunter Larry Chen where the Drift Photo aficionado shared a story of a very special Hachi Roku with only 48 original kilometers that had been kept in a basement for the past 25 years he found on a recent trip to Belgium. 2013 Honda Accord Sedan Test Drive & Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/honda/accord/2013/ The mid-sized sedan segment is by far the most competitive segment in the entire automotive industry. Practically every manufacturer has a vehicle targeting this segment. For years the Accord was at the top of the heap winning award after award, year after year. But the Accord quickly got stale and with the new Ford Fusion, Nissan Altima, and Toyota Camry redesigns; the Accord was losing ground quickly. Now we have a new measuring stick with the all new redesigned 2013 Honda Accord Sedan. The Accord is one of the safest bets in America today. The base price is $21,680; the car drives great, has a nice resale value, and offers wonderful reliability. Most enthusiasts and automotive journalist would cringe at the thought of having to test drive yet another family sedan. But the reality is that this is still the most popular segment of car in America today. The Camry and Accord combined sell almost a million cars per year. Honda has basically set the standard with the Accord for over 30 years. This nameplate has been around since the 1970's and is now in its 9th generation and the Accord keeps on getting better. What's unusual about the new 2013 Honda Accord is that it has actually gotten shorter while interior room has increased and the cargo room is larger, which is a great testament to Honda Engineers. Styling is dramatically improved with the nice shoulder lines and shorter overhangs. Basically the car looks more modern and up to date. But it is not just about styling with the new Accord Sedan. Under the hood is a brand new engine and CVT transmission. Not to be outdone by Mazda's SkyActiv engine technology, Honda has released their own line called Earth Dreams Technology. The new engine is very efficient and powerful. The motor is a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder that makes 185 horsepower and 181 lb-ft. of torque. The CVT transmission helps the Accord to get fuel economy ratings of 27 MPG in the city and 36 MPG on the highway. The Accord comes in several trim levels that include the: Base LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, and the top of the line Touring model. If you want to get a 4-cylinder engine, that comes standard on the 3 lower trims. When you move up to the more expensive trims the V-6 engine becomes optional/standard. Shoppers of mid-sized sedans are looking for rear legroom space. Thankfully the Accord has plenty of it including a lot of rear headroom too. The Accord's interior has been completely redesigned. You have an all new instrument panel, center stack, and gauges. Everything works really well. The speedometer looks like a high-tech Swiss watch, the steering wheel is nice and compact, and the controls are great. Another bonus is the fact that every 2013 Honda Accord comes with and 8-inch infotainment screen standard as well as a rear backup camera. The Accord also comes with Honda's new lane-watch safety system. See More Car Videos http://www.autobytel.com/car-videos/ Join Our Facebook Page http://www.facebook.com/autobytel

2013 Ford Fusion Walkaround & Car Video Review with Chief Vehicle Engineer Don Ufford
http://www.autobytel.com/ford/fusion/2013/ Ford's Chief Vehicle Engineer Don Ufford gives Autobytel viewers a couple of great insights into this totally redesigned automobile. The 3 different trim levels combined with the 3 optional engines give buyers a wide variety when shopping for a new Ford Fusion. The exterior styling carries forward to give the Fusion a commanding presecence. The sculptured lines run from the front of the car al the way to the back giving the car a more energetic feel. The Fusion has great character no matter what position you are viewing the car. The 2013 Ford Fusion sits on tire and wheel combinations that range from 16-inches to 19-inches. The powertrain combinations are as follows: a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder Duratec, a 1.6 liter 4-cylinder turbocharged EcoBoost, and a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder turbocharged EcoBoost. Of course the smaller engine has the best fuel economy. The EcoBoost can be had in either an automatic or manual transmission. This 2.0 engine is also the top pick for those looking for a bit of spirited driving as the engine produces 240 horsepower and 270 lb-ft. of torque. The 2013 Ford Fusion comes in both 2WD or AWD configurations. There is a hybrid model that can average 47 MPG combined. The gauge cluster features fully programmable screens to display information you deem necessary. The right screen offer info on climate control, navigation, or entertainment. The left screen is used to display fuel economy, trip information, vehicle systems, or a tachometer. The center stack employs a fully integrated 8-inch navigation screen which can control the phone, audio system, and climate. With its dizzying array of new tech features, generous standard equipment list, and improved fuel efficiency, it quickly puts the Accord back to the top 3 of the midsize family sedan class. Our few gripes remain with its lingering ever-conservative styling and a top trim touring model that looks too similar to an EX trim.
