-Flying Spur W12 showcases latest Bentley technology
-Mulsanne flagship completes vehicle line-up
-New Bentley luxury leather goods collections
Bentley adds a characterful new member to the Continental family with the
world premiere of the new GT V8 S at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show.
Available in both coupe and convertible forms, the V8 S models feature an
uprated version of Bentley's twin-turbo,
4.0-litre engine that now develops 521 bhp (528 PS / 389 kW) and 680 Nm
(502 lb.ft) of torque together with careful suspension modifications and a
selection of new exterior and interior features. Complementing these two
dynamic new models in Frankfurt is the pinnacle of Bentley luxury in the
form of the flagship Mulsanne and the all-new four-door sedan Flying Spur.
Dr Wolfgang Schreiber, Chairman and Chief Executive of Bentley Motors,
"Our new V8 S models are an exciting addition to the Continental family.
The increased power and torque combined with dynamically-focussed
suspension sharpen the performance capabilities of our V8 grand tourers
with no compromise to the luxury and quality that all Bentleys typify.
These are cars with huge character and agility, enhanced even further by a
distinctive V8 soundtrack."
A distinctive and dynamic new Continental
Building on the success of the acclaimed Continental GT V8, the new V8 S
models feature a more powerful version of Bentley's 4-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine developing 521 bhp (528 PS / 389
KW) at 6,000 rev/min and an immense peak torque of 680 Nm (502 lb.ft) at a
mere 1,700 rev/min. An 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and Bentley
all-wheel drive system with 40:60 rear-biased torque split ensures
effortless delivery of the increased power, providing exhilarating yet
smooth performance. The GT V8 S coupe sprints from 0-60 mph in just 4.3
seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.5s) and onto a top speed of 192 mph (309 km/h).
The performance of the GT V8 S convertible is equally impressive, reaching
60 mph from a standing start in 4.5 seconds (0-100km/h in 4.7s) and a top
speed of 191mph (308km/h). This increased performance is not at the cost of
the efficient engine's fuel economy capabilities, with both coupe and
convertible able to cover over 500 miles (805 km) on a single tank of fuel.
A suite of enhancements to the Continental chassis provide greater agility
and body control to match the engine's higher output, whilst maintaining
the car's renowned ride comfort and refinement. A more sporting setup sees
ride height lowered by 10 mm front and rear while spring rates, bushes and
the rear anti-roll bar are stiffened. Recalibrated damping, steering and
ESC complete the package for an exhilarating and involving driving
Sharp and stylish design touches are introduced to match the new models'
enhanced sporting pace. A package of lower-body styling features accents
the purposeful stance offered by the lowered suspension through an
aerodynamic front splitter, discrete side sills and elegant rear diffuser,
all finished in Beluga gloss black. New signature 20-inch wheels are
exclusive to the V8 S models, and feature an open-spoke design that
provides a clear view of red-painted brake calipers. "V8 S" fender badges
complete the understated but sporting appearance. The visual appeal of the
new car is matched by a stunning V8 Exhaust note that can be amplified further with
an optional new sports Exhaust.
Inside, the cabin of the V8 S models presents a thoroughly modern
interpretation of Bentley luxury. Available with a range of striking
duo-tone interiors, customers select interior trim from the full range of
seventeen hide colours. The GT V8 S coupe also features a unique contrast
centre stripe for the hide-trimmed roof lining, matched to the colour of
the main hide. Knurled chrome detailing to the gearshift lever and
ventilation controls provides a perfect contrast to Piano Black veneers,
while discreet "V8 S" badges are displayed on each sill tread plate.

craftsmanship, sculpted design and state-of-the-art technology, the new
Flying Spur continues its successful market introduction following its
global debut in March this year.
Bentley Continental Flying Spur Motor Car - Top speed 194 mph - 0-60mph 5.2s
The Bentley Continental Flying Spur is a four-door variant of the Bentley
Continental GT coupé. The Bentley Continental Flying Spur was introduced
The Continental Flying Spur is equipped with a 5,998 cubic centimetres
(366.0 cu in) (6.0 litre) twin-turbocharged W12 engine. It produces a DIN-rated
motive power output of 560 metric horsepower (412 kW; 552 bhp)
at 6,100 rpm, and torque of 650 newton metres (479 ft·lbf) at 1,600-6,100
rpm. Torsen-based permanent four-wheel drive is standard. It will complete
the standard sprint of 0--100 kilometres per hour (0--62.1 mph) in 5.2
seconds, and can reach a top speed of 312 kilometres per hour (194 mph).
The Bentley shares its platform with the Volkswagen Phaeton, and it's
powertrain components are related to those on the Audi A8 and S8. The car
was designed by the same team who produced the Continental GT and
The Continental Flying Spur is exclusively hand built at Bentley's only
manufacturing plant in Crewe, England. Previously, due to a lack of
capacity at the Crewe factory upon the car's introduction, some Flying
Spurs destined for markets other than the USA and UK were built at
Volkswagen's Transparent Factory in Dresden, Germany. This arrangement
ended in 2006, when all assembly work reverted to Crewe

2013 Bentley Mulsanne Executive Interior Concept (SH)
THE PERFECT CONNECTIONS
•Bentley confirms EXECUTIVE INTERIOR for Mulsanne flagship
•Theatre and iPad Specifications multimedia packages introduced
•Entertainment and advanced business connectivity meets handcrafted
(Crewe, 1 March 2012) Bentley's advanced multimedia Mulsanne Executive
Interior Concept, first showcased at the 2011 Frankfurt Show, is now moving
from the design studio to the commissioning suite with the introduction of
Theatre and iPad Specifications offering state‑of‑the‑art multimedia
connectivity on the move.
"The original Mulsanne multimedia concept was previewed at several special
customer events across the globe and the reaction was immensely
encouraging. Bentley has now created two bespoke Specifications, Theatre
and iPad, and we're confident they will meet the expectations of customers
needing a business-focussed environment or simply a relaxing space where
films, music, television and the internet can be enjoyed," comments
Alasdair Stewart, Bentley's Member of the Board for Sales and Marketing.
Both the Theatre and iPad Specifications are seamlessly integrated into the
Mulsanne's sumptuous and supremely comfortable cabin, which takes Bentley's
craftsmen and women over 170 hours to create. When not required, features
like the drop-down screen or picnic tables retract and are stowed both
quickly and discretely.
Theatre Specification for home entertainment and comfort on the move
With the Mulsanne Theatre Specification passengers in the rear cabin can
enjoy a wide range of entertainment -- choosing between DVD movies,
television programmes, or music -- which is offered via a 15.6-inch
centrally located HD LED screen. As an alternative, each headrest is
equipped with its own 8-inch screen, enabling passengers to select their
own entertainment and listening in private through high quality Bluetooth
Business users can take full advantage of the powerful processing
capability and connectivity of the boot-mounted Apple Mac computer which is
selectable for display via the HD LED screen. Twin USB ports positioned in
the centre console provide easy access to the Mac to upload films, music
and data or documents for use either in the cabin or once the journey ends.
Finger-tip control is provided via an iPod touch allowing navigation of the
technology by means of a unique Bentley 'App' and bespoke reading lights
have been designed to provide optimum illumination for viewing documents.
The opportunity to unwind in style is also catered forwith an exquisitely
detailed, Bentley‑designed, luxury bottle cooler with space for two
full-size Champagne bottles in a canted position, allowing opened bottles
to be put back in the cooler. With one touch of a button, the frosted glass
door quietly slides open to reveal three hand‑blown and hand-cut lead
crystal champagne flutes, displayed beautifully by the white LED accent
The flutes are exclusively created for Bentley by renowned British
designer, David Redman of London, and echo the racing spoke design of the
Mulsanne's 21" 5-spoke Sports alloy wheel. The flutes can be placed in the
bespoke-design bright chrome holders that deploy from the centre seat
cushion. These also adapt to work as normal cup holders when required. The
bottle cooler and fluteholders are discreetly concealed when not in use and
the elegant design of the cooling system means that no boot space is
iPad Specification for office level functionality and connectivity
Two beautifully crafted, electrically-deployed veneered picnic tables for
rear passengers provide a soft hide writing surface, colour-matched to the
seats of the Mulsanne, and at the press of a button twin iPads with
wireless keyboards are revealed.
Both rear passengers can work on documents or files independently, email,
browse the internet, make video calls or play music or games. The picnic
tables are cleverly designed so that the keyboards can be easily removed
and placed on the user's lap for added comfort.
Bespoke finishing touches
Both the Theatre and iPad Specifications of Mulsanne Executive Interior can
be specified with a range of finishing touches including a Tibaldi fountain
pen from its specially commissioned Collection which will be hand veneered
to match the car and is discretely stowed in a dedicated dock in the centre
And seen on a Bentley for the first time, a distinctive Yachting-style
veneer of either Dark Wenge with a Maple Pinstripe or Maple using the Dark
Wenge as the pinstripe motif. Both of these Yachting veneers are available
in a Satin or Gloss Lacquer finish.
