LOVE THEM OR HATE MAVERICKS, YOU ARE LOOKING AT A PIECE OF AUTOMOTIVE
HISTORY. IN THE RUSH OF AMERICAN COMPANIES TO PRODUCE FUEL EFFICIENT CARS
TO COMPETE WITH IMPORTS, FORD MOTOR PRODUCED THE PINTO AND THE MAVERICK.
DID THEY EVER SELL! MAVERICKS SOLD OVER 250,000 UNITS EVERY YEAR.THIS
SALES VOLUME MADE AN IMPACT AGAINST THE IMPORTS. THIS ORIGINAL SURIVIVOR
IS POWERED BY THE FORD 302 CID V8, 140 HP. 1974 MAVERICKS OFFERED A $332
LUXURY DECOR PACKAGE AS SEEN WITH THIS EXAMPLE. INCLUDED WITH THIS PACKAGE
IS A WELL PRESERVED FULL VINYL ROOF AND UPGRADED INTERIOR APPOINTMENTS.
ENERGY ABSORBING BUMPERS WERE NEW THIS YEAR. THE 3 MAVERICK MODELS ARE A
FASTBACK 2 DOOR SEDAN, 139,818 PRODUCED, A FOUR DOOR SEDAN WHICH IS SHOWN,
137,728 PRODUCED, AND THE GRABBER 2 DOOR FASTBACK OF WHICH 23,501 WERE
MADE. THIS 4 DOOR SEDAN IN THIS VIDEO HAD A BASE PRICE OF $2,824. LUXURY

YEARS PRODUCED, HOW MANY HAVE YOU SEEN LATELY? HOW MANY IN THE CONDITION
OF THIS ORIGINAL SURVIVOR? THIS MAVERICK APPEARS BRAND NEW IN EVERY WAY.
OKAY, SO IT'S A MAVERICK. THIS CAR FOUGHT THE IMPORTS AND WON AND BELIEVE

Driving the 1971 Ford Maverick From Fast Five
Here in the United States the Ford Maverick is remembered, if it's
remembered at all, as the car that replaced Ford's original compact, the
Falcon, back in 1970.

Viper Maverick VS Ford Ranch Wagon - Project Car Dilemma
Have you ever been waist deep into a project car build and just when you
feel it's hopeless...another project lands in the driveway? Welcome to my
car guy confusion.
As you may know (if you don't just glance at a few of my other videos) my
Maverick project keeps getting derailed. Whether it's lack of funds, time,
space or energy, I keep losing momentum on that project.
I'm sure all hot rodders deal with this dilemma at some point.
So now I've got this cool '66 Ford Ranch Wagon and it's rough but it's a
runner and the more I drive it, the more I like it.
In this video I pose the question...
When is a project too much and how do you choose which project car to work
on when something more reasonable falls right in front of you?
I've never been this close to giving up on the Viper Maverick and putting a
for sale sign on it.
