1965 Chevrolet Nova SS
The Chevrolet Chevy II/Nova is a compact automobile manufactured by the
Chevrolet division of General Motors produced in five generations for the
1962 through 1979, and 1985 through 1988 model years. Nova was the top
model in the Chevy II lineup through 1968. The Chevy II nameplate was
dropped, Nova becoming the nameplate for the 1969 through 1979 models.
The Chevy II was one of the fastest new-car development programs in GM
history. Just 18 months after the designers got the green light, the first
production Chevy II rolled off the Willow Run, Michigan, assembly line in

True SS "117" Car
This car was originally from California. In 1989 it was purchased by a man
from Indiana. He brought it home, stripped it down to bare metal, took it
off the frame, and began the rotisserie restoration. The build was
completed about 12 years ago. The car sat in a heated garage for 2 years
and was only driven on the nicest days. The car was then purchased in May
of 2003 by the most recent owner. He also stored the car in a heated garage

1962 Chevy II Nova, Big Block
My 1962 Chevy II Nova, out for the spring 2011. Been sitting for the last
6-7 winter months in storage (thats why the brakes are howling). Took a
video of it since I was about to send it off to its new owner and I never
really had anything of it all finished.
-454, 10.5:1 Compression, CompCams 288/294 duration, 521/540 lift,
hydraulic roller cam. Alum. heads etc.
-400 turbo trans with 3000 stall
-3" mandrel bent Exhaust with x-pipe
and Dynatech mufflers.
-Narrowed 9" ford, ladder bars, mini tubbed.
-17x7 & 18x9.5 Billet Specialties Vintec Dished wheels
-Shaved all the trim, handles, etc, cowl louvers filled, modified, smoothed
firewall, custom one piece tail lights, tons of subtle changes to the car.

My First Run With 1960 283cu. inch in a 1965 Chevy nova 2
I Pulled the inline 6 194 cu. inch. we put in a rebult 1960-1/2 283 cu. it
has its original bell steal crank and forgded pistons flat top. federal
berrings. i let the pro's ridge and hone the block. i put it together.
steel oil shaft and big block pump. i re-routed oil pick up and using a
morroso pan ,the heads are original too block, and have stainless steel
valve's, harden seats, bronze guides. a sickle style alternator bracket.
one belt. short water pump. Elderbrock Total Power Pack, lifters, head
springs, cam, push rods, intake and carborator. the headers did'nt fit. so
i used original mcdonalds manafolds, cherry bombs, and stainless steel
pipes, police cruiser 78 caprice exhuast bend fits most gm cars lol. the
gauges are on the engine's air filter. oil lines and fire walls cause oil
loss. temp is a secondary ground when primary is shorted . amps shorts out
thru dash and fire wall. put them on the engine and they will last for
years and you dont have to go back n forth to read the gauges. original 3
on the tree manual transmition fresh clutches speacial order, yes thats a
67 chrome radiator. sweet.
