NEWEST VIDEO OF MY TRUCK. CHECK IT OUT!
Just another walk around of my truck showing what has changed. Note that
the aluminum tailgate panel is gone (body work done by myself and painted
by myself). I also got rid of the reflective tape underneath the tailgate
to give it a cleaner look. Kind of where the saying comes in (Less is
More) Anyways ENJOY!

Bronco radical leaf spring front suspension
Thats 20 inches of usable travel, To see the finished truck .. I'm
upgrading the suspension on my 71 ford bronco. this is a clip of the front
suspension cycling. Broncos have coil springs .. but I changed them out 20
years ago. The front springs are Deaver 64"long x 14" arc tacoma springs
with a couple of springs added to the pack with 12" shackles. It makes 20"
of travel up front and 22in the rear. The shocks (not mounted) attach to
the arms and cycle about 13" of travel at the shock. The arms transmit the
force of the shocks but keep the shocks in a fairly predictable location,
while the front mounted leaf spring moves the axle forwards and back about
8". The shocks only track where the arms sweep in a much more controlled
manner. The system is called mezzanine style, long travel leaf suspension.
