This is a really nice example...red (what other color for a convertible) with nice white interior. Everything looks to be in perfect shape. Note the "cheese grater" tailights, similar to those on my 88 Mustang. This is the Hurst edition, with detents on the right side that take the automatic transmission through the 3 forward gears.
1970 Pontiac GTO Convertible
Probably my favorite year for the GTO....Slightly rounded body, nice color accents on the fenders and rear quarter...and that unmistakable Pontiac nose! Twin air scoops in the hood! Very nice!
1965 Pontiac GTO convertible
Beautiful condition, inside and out! This is the one to have with the 6.5 liter engine and manual transmission. First year of its own separate series..not just an upgraded LeMans.
1966 Ford Galaxie 500 7 litre convertible
A beautiful example! 7 litres converts to 428 c.i., 345 horsepower. The paint appears black but it is actually a dark green. The upholstery is two tone, and is like new! What a great car!!
1975 Pontiac Firebird Formula
Very nice car...I love those dashes...both inside and out. The owner indicated these are pretty rare models..and this would definitely be one I would want! 400 c.i. engine!

FOR SALE: 1967 Pontiac GTO 400 H.O. 4 SP Hardtop Coupe Concours Thom McAn Prize Winner Car
This Thom McAn GTO has received the Concours Gold award in 2007 from the GTO Association of America after it underwent a complete frame off restoration.
Documentation on this rare GTO includes the order sheets, the Concours Gold Award from the GTO Association of America, and signed letters from the Pontiac Historical Society president Jim Madison, and the Rocky Mountain Concours d'Eligance. Extensive photos and documentation books complete the merits of this unique historical piece of automotive history.
This very special car is one of two known GTO's in existence today from a Thom McAn Nationwide Sweepstakes. This GTO was awarded in the Thom McAn shoe company contest back in 1966, the stores had a smashing nationwide advertising campaign to give away Pontiac GTO cars to promote their new line of GTO shoes. Contestants merely had to go to a Thom McAn shoe store and check out the shoes which were cleverly placed under their noses.
The Great One" as it was named, was originally given to a Colorado woman, who sold to its second owner. There it remained until being stolen in 1979. It was discovered 18 years later near a salvage yard by Bryan S. who didn't realize its value until further down the road. Bryan's goal was to restore the car as correct as he could make it, right down to the custom Tiger Gold colored paint. Bryan's goal was certainly met when the superb concours restoration was complete in 2005. He restored a truly rare piece of Pontiac history.
This very rare, Thom McAn GTO Contest car is a colorful piece of automotive history. GTO's overwhelmingly had the best overall performance/dollar equation of its "muscle car" era.
This rare GTO is For Sale. For additional information, contact Mark by phone at (949)226-7053.
