A new Volkswagen.
-Info-
Siemoneit Racing has unveiled a new performance package for the Volkswagen Golf R.
Designed to increase the model's sporting potential, the package features a new air intake (€449), a revised ECU (€698) and a stainless steel sport Exhaust system (€1749). Thanks to these modifications, the engine produces 355 PS (261 kW / 350 hp) and 485 Nm (358 lb-ft) of torque - an increase of 85 PS (63 kW / 84 hp) and 135 Nm (100 lb-ft).
If that isn't impressive enough, the company also offers a more intensive package - with a high pressure fuel pump (€499) and an Intercooler (€1199) - that raises the output to approximately 530 PS (390 kW / 523 hp).
Lastly, customers can order a carbon fiber hood and a reprogrammed transmission (€298) that "affords faster acceleration, super-rapid gear changes and even more fun at the wheel - whether on the road or on the race track."
Euroworks: Golf R Super Sprint vs Milltek Turbo Back Exhaust comparison
To each their own but both systems sound fantastic depend on what suites your ears but as a matter of preference.
The Milltek AEV Technology provides a nice throaty Exhaust note with load when the rpm screams past 3800 to the redline when the AEV opens. Super Sprint emits a nice bass during idle however the cabin drone was the biggest draw back.
Both are reputable Exhaust systems... Pick your poison

Volkswagen Golf R 2011
VW's Golf GTI. Practical. Fast. It's the seminal hot hatch.
There has been a problem for the GTI in recent years though. Sister-brand Audi launched a car called the S3, which made the GTI appear to be an underachiever. The solution? VW's new Golf R.

R&R: 2011 Volkswagen Golf R vs Scirocco R
Volkswagen's 188kW, all-wheel-drive Golf R is the ultimate hot-hatch out of Wolfsburg. Or is it? We pit it against its front wheel drive cousin, the Scirocco R, for an on road driving impression. All-wheel-drive solidity vs front wheel drive poise. Its a Volkswagen civil war.
