2012 Honda Crosstour Review - SanTan Honda Superstore
Geoff Bunger, Internet Manager at SanTan Honda Superstore walks us through
the all new 2012 Honda Crosstour.
You can expect performance and power with the 2012 Crosstour. Choose
between a 192- Horse power 2.4 liter I -- VTEC engine or get extra Boost with the 271 horse power 3.5 liter V-6
I VTEC engine
You'll notice this vehicle has a new name. It is now simply known as the
Honda Crosstour, not the Honda Accord Crosstour, thus eliminating the rear
Accord badge. The 2012 Crosstour will grab your attention with a bold,
sporty exterior design - clearly differentiating itself from it's
competitors. Modern styling is prevalent in the 2012 Crosstour, with a
streamlined tailgate and a bold front grille. The designers of the
Crosstour didn't stop at sleek front and rear end styling, you will find
the Crosstour's signature sleek lines and chrome finishes throughout the
car's exterior. The Crosstour is big where it counts, boasting 18" alloy
wheels for the EX-L model.
The Crosstour's well-appointed cabin is also your personal concert hall,
boasting a powerful 360-watt audio system with 7 speakers, which includes a
subwoofer. You have audio options! Such as a 6-disc in-dash cd changer or
connect your favorite MP3 player to the iPod compatible USB Audio
Interface. The EX-L model is also available with Honda's Satellite-Linked
Navigation System with voice recognition. As a standard feature, the
Crosstour comes equipped with a factory-installed Bluetooth Hands FreeLink,
allowing you to use your compatible mobile phone without taking your eyes
off the road or hands off the wheel. Apart from the state-of-the art
technology features, the Crosstour features an easy-to-use 60/40 split rear
seatback. One pull of the right or left lever folds the corresponding seat
section down. To create even more storing capacity, the Crosstour has a
hidden removable utility box under the reversible rear panels in the cargo
area. Keep valuables out of site, or dirty gear out of site. This box can
be removed for easy cleaning.
You can expect the following safety features to help keep you on course and
away from danger. Vehicle Stability Assist helps sense oversteer or
understeer and, if necessary, adjusts brake pressure at each wheel and/or
reduces engine power to help restore driver control.
Standard 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, with Electronic Brake Distribution
(EBD), help you maintain control during hard braking.
o Properly inflated tires are crucial for safe operation, so the tire
pressure monitoring system alerts the driver when a tire's pressure reaches
a significantly low level. You and your family are protected with Honda's
ACE body structure, which stands for Advanced Compatibility Engineering.
Essentially, the vehicle disperses frontal crash energy over a wide area,
helping to minimize the forces transferred to the passenger cabins.
Honda comes equipped with proper airbag support. Standard front, front
side and side curtain airbags with rollover sensor help reduce the
likelihood of injuries in a collision. In addition, driver's and front
passenger's active head restraints help reduce the likelihood of whiplash
injuries in a sufficient rear collision. Honda has a great safety
philosophy. Which is a commitment to providing safety for everyone—that
means crash protection not only for Honda drivers and passengers, but also
for the occupants of other vehicles.

Yet, there's something odd about the 2010 Accord Crosstour that can't be
entirely written off to its exterior styling and the ensuing fuss on
Facebook. The Crosstour is supposed to offer an ideal compromise of sedan
and SUV attributes, but the utility doesn't quite add up.

2014 Honda CROSSTOUR REVIEW AND TEST DRIVE | Herb Chambers Honda
Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk

The Honda Crosstour was introduced for 2011 as an offshoot of the Accord,
but then became a model of its own. It's been left behind by the Accord,
which began a new generation for the 2013 model year, while the Crosstour
continues to ride on the old Accord's platform, which dates back to 2008.
However, the 2013 Crosstour received extensive updates to the styling and
interior that mimicked the new Accord. Nothing has changed for the 2014
model year. Quote VIA: http://www.newcartestdrive.com

This is how to reset (disable) airbag SRS light procedure for honda accord
and civic vehicles. Civic, EP3, Fit, City, jazz, and many more honda/acura
vehicle. Espanol. (Hard part is finding the location to plug).
This video shows how to reset your SRS light in case you forgot to plug in
a air bag or repaired a broken seat belt. ONLY unplug that cable. You do
not need any special tools other than a wire and some wire cutters. There
is a tools specifically for this but it is pointless seeing as how it is
only used for this specifically. Leave a comment if you have any questions.
I get an email and I will reply ASAP. This should work for honda civics
This was done on a 97 civic.
2012 Honda Crosstour Review, Walkaround, Exhaust, & Test Drive
Still quite the odd looking midsize crossover, the Honda Crosstour was
basically a wagon version of the Accord with a higher ride height,
coupe-like styling, and a more refined interior. If you can get passed its
love-it or hate-it front-end, it will certainly appeal to buyers in need of
more space over the Accord sedan. Just know that some competitors offer
more cargo capacity and less offensive styling, but do end up costing more
versus the Honda.
