AUDI/Volkswagen 7 Speed DSG/S tronic 3D Animation
http://www.eurocarnews.com - The worlds first 7-speed DSG to be produced in high-volume. For many car drivers this could signify the final turn away from conventional transmissions. Because the new DSG can do everything better than a manual gearbox. It is more fuel efficient, sporty and comfortable.

2009 VW Jetta TDI - DSG Service - Part I: The Filter
Part 1 of 2: 6 Speed DSG Transmission (02E) Filter replacement. Changing the filter is easy as can be, just a Filter and an O-Ring, but getting to it...some disassembly required.
I had initially tried to replace the Oil Filter without removing the Battery and Battery Tray, as some folks had done. I was not able to physically remove the Filter Housing (Filter Cap) without forcing some rigid-plastic plumbing out of the way. I was not willing to risk cracking the plumbing for the sake of extracting the Filter Housing. I don't recommend it either, so just remove the Battery and Battery Tray as the Service Manual mentions.
=== A Homemade VAS 6262-type equivalent ===
The DSG Servicing Schematic I included in the video labels the adapter dimensions as 24Mx1.5mm, it's actually M24x1.5mm. If you make your own or obtain a suitable equivalent Filling Adapter, know that the plug depth is 1/2"...just look at the Drain Plug itself.
For a ready-to-go Filling Adapter, look for P/N ATF16DSG.
Visit http://www.toolsource.com/vwaudi-drive-line-filler-adapter-p-105577.html here at $34 US.
Then, all you need is about $2-worth clear tubing found at any hardware store and a $5 open-close valve also found at most hardware stores.
Attach the valve to a DSG Oil bottle cap, then secure one end of the clear tubing to the other end of the valve...you are now ready to service your DSG.

2012 Volkswagen GTI DSG Test Dive & Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/volkswagen/gti/2012/ The 2012 Volkswagen GTI is just about the most fun you can have in a car for around $25,000. A compact performance car is judged based on its engine. And the GTI has one of the best all-around 4-cylinder engines in the world. In fact this engine powers numerous Volkswagen and Audi vehicles. But the 2012 Volkswagen GTI is not just a car with a wonderful engine; the GTI is also a good looking car that is well balanced, and quite comfortable. In fact you can get the Volkswagen GTI in both a 2-door and 4-door hatchback body style. The base price is $23,995 with the top of the line Autobahn model costing $31,695.
The 2012 Volkswagen GTI is powered by a direct injection turbocharged 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 200 horsepower and 207 lb-ft. of torque. While this may not seem like a ton of power, it is more than enough for the everyday driver. Power is transmitted through a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission to the front wheels. The automatic transmission is called the DSG which stands for Direct-Shift Gearbox. This double clutch electronically controlled transmission can execute a shift in mere milliseconds. This helps performance figures such as 0-60 MPH as well as adding to the fuel economy of the GTI. The manual transmission model gets 21 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway while the DSG automatic transmission model gets 24 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway.
On the inside of the 2012 Volkswagen GTI you have 2 choices when it comes to seating material. There are the cloth seats that are very unique and serve as a tribute to the first GTI from the 1970's. On the other hand you can get your GTI with top sports seats that are finished in leather and provide a comfortable yet firm feel. The rest of the interior of the 2012 Volkswagen GTI is accented here and there with awesome red stitching on the shift boot and steering wheel. Speaking of the steering wheel; this flat bottom unit has integrated controls for the stereo. The pedals are also very sporty and race inspired.
The GTI also features a ton of technology built in. On the outside the daytime LED running lights are a standard safety feature that not only looks great but also makes you more visible to oncoming traffic. Bluetooth comes standard on the GTI and you can upgrade to a touch-screen navigation unit. On the safety front the GTI sports 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control, and an Intelligent Crash Response System. The attention to safety has resulted in the Volkswagen GTI being picked as a 2012 Top Safety Pick by the IIHS.

2011 Volkswagen GTI DSG Walkaround, Exhaust, Review, Test Drive
Both transmissions are fantastic for this car, if I had to choose I would flip a coin between the two. Although, I do personally like the 4-door body style more.
"The 2011 Volkswagen GTI may not be top dog when it comes to performance numbers, but overall it's one of our top picks when it comes to sporty hatchbacks."

Oettinger VW DSG Paddle Install Video
Oettinger's DSG paddle upgrade are formed from zinc alloy and allow for more convenient and easier shifting for DSG-equipped VWs. The Oettinger paddles replace the small, hard to find, factory paddles. These are NOT stick on paddle extensions, they replace the entire plastic factory pedal arm and integrate perfectly into the existing mechanism.
