Common rail Diesel fuel injection is now the state of the art in engine
injection. The Bosch Piezoelectric (crystal) injector operates using a
crystal stack, usually Quartz, that changes size when energized. The
piezoelectric effect states that when a crystal such a Quarts is squeezed
an electric current is generated. By the same token, when electricity is
applied to the crystal is changes shape. This minute change in crystal size
is used to trigger a small fuel chamber on and off. In turn, this chamber
creates a pressure differential at the top of the injector which make it

It's a good thing the 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe stands out for its price,
because reviewers say it's a forgettable SUV that doesn't stand out for
If you need midsize SUV, the 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe has one of the lowest
prices in the class. When you add in the fact that it has standard features
like Bluetooth, steering wheel audio controls, a USB port, and excellent
fuel economy, going for the Santa Fe seems like a no-brainer.
But, most car reviewers say that if there's room in your budget, check out
the competition before settling on the Santa Fe. While its fuel economy
numbers are great, the Santa Fe has forgettable performance and styling.
Plus, while the Santa Fe used to offer a third row, making it a good choice
for families with lots of kids and college tuitions to save for, it is no
longer an option.
In short, the Santa Fe is a strong choice for SUV buyers on a budget. When
you add in its long warranty, people who put their wallets first will find

alternative to the Santa Fe, because even though it's a compact SUV, it's

interior feels nicer. However, it does start at about $1,000 more than the
Santa Fe does.
If you like the feel of the Santa Fe and Hyundai's long warranty, take a
look at the Hyundai Tucson. Not only is it less expensive, it's also more
stylish. It doesn't have quite as much interior space, but reviewers still
say its interior is comfortable and practical.
If you need a third row, take a look at the Toyota Highlander. It costs
about $4,000 more than the Santa Fe but its third-row are standard. While
it's more expensive than the Santa Fe, it's one of the least expensive
three-row midsize SUVs available.

Common rail injection system
The injection technology used in the TGL and TGM is the most sophisticated
one: a state-of-the-art common rail injection system with vertically
positioned 7-jet injector nozzle. The latest generation of EDC7 control
units provide the controls of the system. Only this system ensures the
best-possible control of the fuel injection process. In each compression
stroke, the injection quantity can be divided into pre-injection (1) and
main injection (2). In some cases, a post-injection (3) is used. The
engines operate with an increased maximum injection pressure of more than
1,800 bar in order to reduce the soot particles inside the engine. The
engine runs extremely quietly and noise emissions are low due to the
pre-injection (1). The common rail system also supplies considerable
advantages in torque, particularly at low speeds. At all engine ratings,
the favourable progression of torque across a wide range of engine speeds
makes driving economical and requires very few gear shifts.
