4-door 2011 Impreza WRX STI - sedan is back!!
Just as Impreza was always like, a 4-door version is back in Japan market on July 1st, 2010. A release of 5-door hatchback version in 2007 was quite a surprise although it resulted in good sales, but many of old Subaru Impreza fans were disappointed because 4-door was the tradition and image of the Subaru WRC cars. And finally.. Subaru was kind enough to give us a new option of 4-door Impreza, while maintaining the production of 5-door version. Ex-WRC champion Tommi Mäkinen was involved in developing this 4-door Impreza as a test driver. According to Subaru, Tommi marked 7:55 on Nurburgring, which is 4 seconds faster than 2004 WRX STI. The rear trunk is relatively smaller than hatchback ver, but the sedan body of Impreza looks beautiful. Subaru says its 3D-shaped rear wing and longer rear overhang brings more effective aero dynamics and higher top-speed than 5-door hatchback. My short test drive on low speed was surprisingly quite comfortable although its springs/dampers were hardened than the previous model. And the 43kg torque was an astonishing power experience that made me hold my breath for a moment! [Movie: Tommi Mäkinen 7:55 at Nurburgring] http://www.subaru.jp/wrxsti/nurburgring/index.html [JDM spec] body color: Satin White Pearl Size: 4,580 x 1,795 x 1,470mm (5-door: 4,415 x 1,795 x 1,470mm) Weight: 1,490kg (5-door: 1,480kg) Displacement: 1,994cc horsepower: 308ps/6,400rpm Torque: 43.0kg/4,400rpm Tires: 245/40R18 [Official website] Japan: http://www.subaru.jp/wrxsti/4dr/ US: coming soon

2015 Subaru WRX STI: The Daily Driver Rally Car Returns! - Ignition Ep. 107
On this episode of Ignition, Carlos Lago tests the latest generation of the perennial rally car favorite: The 2015 Subaru WRX STI. Much like the new WRX, this STI has an entirely new and significantly stiffer body structure, but unlike the WRX, it still uses the same 305 horsepower 2.5-liter turbocharged flat-four that's powered the car since 2008. Our introduction to the car occurs at the press launch at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. From there, we test the STI to see the performance improvements and drive it on one of our favorite mountain roads. How does the new STI stack up? Stay tuned to find out. Ignition appears every other Monday on the Motor Trend youtube channel. http://www.youtube.com/motortrend Subscribe now to make sure you're in on all the action! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsAegdhiYLEoaFGuJFVrqFQ?sub_confirmation=1 Facebook - http://facebook.com/motortrendmag & https://www.facebook.com/mt.ignition Twitter - http://twitter.com/motortrend & https://twitter.com/mt_ignition Google+ - https://plus.google.com/+motortrend/posts Instagram - @mt_ignition Website - http://www.motortrend.com

2015 Subaru WRX vs 2014 Ford Focus ST! Head 2 Head Ep. 50
On this episode of Head 2 Head, Jonny Lieberman gets his hands on the all-new, 2015 Subaru WRX, as well as one of Motor Trend's favorite pocket rockets, the Ford Focus ST. Each car costs about $30,000, sports a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with similar power outputs, and features a 6-speed manual transmission. The Subaru of course features a sporty version of the brand's "symmetrical AWD" while the Focus makes due with just the front wheels driven. However, since it first appeared, the Focus ST has wowed the Motor Trend staff with ability to dance around corners and, generally, not drive and feel like a front-wheel driver. We like the Focus ST so much that we invited it to last year's Best Driver's Car. But does the Ford have what it takes to beat the latest street-tamed rally baby from Subaru? You're going to have to watch and find out. 1000 horsepower hp Subaru WRX STi (65 psi GT45R) walk around review
http://www.SubyPAL.com - This is a REAL 1000 hp STI! Features unique "mystery mods" which turn this bored over STi block into a 65 psi capable monster! Powered by a massive turbo, a ton of PSI, race ported heads, bored over cylinders, and a full internal build for an impressive 1000+ horsepower capability. This build killed the motor within a month and is no longer on the streets. Some saw it run, and those who did only saw the tail lights! I was lucky enough to get it in my garage for a tour before it popped. Enjoy 0:) ***Learn what makes this car capable of 1000 HP at http://www.facebook.com/subyPAL ***
