Quickly Unlock and Reset the REGION Code of your BMW Business CD CD53 Radio
This video demonstrates how to reset, code the REGION and calibrate the PLAYBACK features of your BMW Business CD Radio. The unit I'm resetting is a Feb 2006 Alpine BMW Business CD53 Radio BMW Parts Number 65 12 6 961 215 that has MP3, HD Radio, Sirius Satellite Radio, and iPod Data/Auxillary Capabilities. This unit was ordered online but came set for another region. If your radio came like this unit did you will need to follow the steps in this video to unlock, reset and code your radio to your region. You can also see hidden information (like the production date and SV number) on the radio as well as set your antenna sensitivity and play around with your DSP settings.
This will work for all year BMW Business CD53 and CD radios found on the 3 series and X3 vehicles as well as other BMW vehicles.
There have been a number of posts on the Service Mode settings. Here is a summary of what I have seen:
AREA - self explanatory (EUR,USA, JAP, etc)
AF - Alternate frequency feature which automatically finds and can switch to a stronger station with same programming. (off, Auto, Autonopi, Man. Not used in USA broadcasts) see:http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...19&postcount=6
SN - serial number
SV - firmware version and date in week-year format
RI - Supposedly revision index, but never seen specifics on it.
GAL - speed dependent volume sensitivity
AM or FM - Displays current frequency and Field strength for signal
DSP 0 V 15 - Identifies presence of DSP (0/1, 0 for E46) and current output volume setting
TP-V Volume offset for traffic alert programming (Not used in USA Area) see: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...50&postcount=2

This BMW 325i headlights restoration took a doing. These headlights had
passed the yellow stage gone through the hazy cloudy stage of oxidation.
They were among the worst headlights that we have ever restore. Never the
less we were able to give these headlights a new look after our headlight
restoration service. Fixmyheadlights.com have been restoring headlights in
south Florida in the Miami Dade, Broward county area for the past 3 years.
The headlights in this video were restored in Lauderhill Florida close to
Coral Springs Tamarac and Sunrise. Mr Parks was very happy and pleased with
our headlight restoration service. His headlights in a like new look
condition dramatically improved the appearance of his car and also
increased his SAFETY as well.

Purchase the Dynavin Install Toolkit here:
Part 1/2: This video walks you through the entire process of installing a
Dynavin Head Unit / Navigation / Multimedia Device in your E46 3 Series BMW
('99-05). The process is fairly straightforward and should take even a
novice approximately an hour or two from start to finish!
Sorry we didn't film the relocation into the AC Controls slot. It's a
direct fit on other cars and almost a direct fit on E46, but if you want
it to be 100% factory you'll need a climate control trim piece available
from the dealer. In this install we did not use the factory piece and it
worked quit well. e46 is the only model that uses the OEM part and it's

eas | aurora Angel Eye Installation Overview - 2003 e46 325Ci
Installation overview of aurora Angel Eye kit on a 2003 BMW 325Ci.
We have seen lots of Angel Eye kits on the market in the past 5 years.
Everything from separate lightsources, CCFL tubes, failing inverters and
LED kits with gaps and warranty issues with vendors. What happens when you
can't find something for your BMW on the market that suits your needs?
You simply design them yourself.
Introducing aurora, an entirely redesigned angel eye kit for your BMW from
eas - unlike anything else on the market.
aurora produces a fully uniform look using a 60 LED array, which matches
most Xenon maps for an OEM look and are very bright - these can even be
seen in daytime. You will immediately know another vehicle with a set after
yours are installed.

BMW E46 3 Series - How to Remove Radio
This tutorial shows how to remove a Business tape-deck radio from an E46 3
The E46 BMW was delivered with a selection of radios, as follows:
1. Business Tape-Deck
2. Business CD
3. Widescreen Nav unit.
On later year models of the radio there is an aux input on the rear.
Typically post 2003, but it's worth checking your radio has pins in the aux
jack and not just a blank space before buying the cable. An OEM BMW aux
cable can be used, or a generic homemade cable, available on eBay.
To remove the radio as shown in the video, use the following steps:
1. Remove passenger side trim
2. Remove trim over the radio
3. Unscrew two Philips head screws, one each side of the radio.
4. Pull out the radio (use the tape slot for grip)
5. The reqar connector is difficult to remove and requires a lot of force
to lift. It lifts up about 1cm, and then the connector can be pulled off
6. Reconnect in reverse.
This radio is connected by round pins, proprietary to BMW. Most aftermarket
radios use the flat pins, so to install an aftermarket in a pre-2002 E39
you will probably need an adapter, available on eBay.
If your radio does not turn on, the 10A fuse behind it might be blown.
Check this fuse by holding it up to the light and inspecting the wire, or
by using a multimeter to check for a break. If replacing the fuse does not
fix the radio, ensure the metal teeth holding the fuse are tight enough to
make a good connection.
Replacing a BMW Daytime Running Light
If your dashboard indicator tells you a light is out it may be the Halo /
DRL / Angel eye light that is burned out. It's that cool set of rings
around each headlight. Mark takes you through all the steps and tricks it
takes to change the light yourself if you're the kind of person that likes
to save a couple hundred bucks (Canadian)
