well whenever I get up against the launch control, after about 3-4 seconds the car will go into limp mode every time. I am not to sure what the heck the problem is and the dealership can not seem to figure the problem out either. I had a Boost leak and fixed that, well it cured the problem for about 2 days or so then it was back to going into limp mode again. Any help would be much appreciated guys and please no smart ass remarks like should not have bought jap crap or whatever.
How NOT to launch an EVO
I guess the main problem here, was that this driver was not the owner, and
because of how respectful he is, he ent want to launch the car hard, like
the owner might...."Drive it like you stole it man!"

How to recognize Limp in Mode
Sometimes the way a engine runs is because it's being told to run that way
so it will protect the engine and converter. We call this limp-in-mode.
It allows you to drive the vehicle but it limits power. In other words, it
allows you to "limp in" to the repair shop. Here's one way to recognize
that your in that mode.
v6 integra (in limp mode)
j32a2 swap into a 1994 integra. Currently in limp mode with a 5800 rev
limit. Using/testing RPM SYSTEMS rpm converter.
evo x goes down the 1/4 mile
got the Evo down the track and was finally able to get into the 12's. Yes
im sure Ill get flamed for only being able to go 12.97, but it is only my
4th run down the track with this car and I am having trouble with the
Launch control evo x
Standaard Evo x, launch control getest + topsnelheid. Maar teveel volk op
de weg dus topsnelheid kon nog iets meer. Tot 200km/u gaat alles vlotjes,
maar daarna toch iets minder.
Potential EvoX TC-SST malfunction
In this video, I'm headed towards Denver on I-70 before the Eisenhower
tunnel, going uphill. You can see the RPMs jumping as the clutches in the
transmission feel like they are slipping. Near the end of the video, you
can see the center display say "SLOW DOWN" because the transmission
temperature is too high, likely because of all the slippage going on.
This all ended up being caused by a chain of items that were replaced. turbo, Exhaust manifold, downpipe, MAF, and more.

This is my 2008 Evo X with 3 in Exhaust, AMS 3 inch downpipe, Hallman Boost controller, and cone filter. The numbers
that I started with were 248 hp to the wheels and 266 tq when the tuning
was done we were making 310hp and 314 tq thanks to Phuong @
Mk4 1.8t limp mode quick fix
On my way Driving to work car suddenly went into limp mode. Used code
reader/clearer to find what was causing this, came back with three codes:
16519 believe was O2 sensor
16684 + 16687 had to do with 3rd cylinder misfiring
Swapped out #3 coil pack and was good as new!
Possible things it could have been are: coil packs ( which it was), spark
plugs, wires connecting to coil packs, and also head gasket leak causing
antifreeze to leak into cylinder(thankfully not that!)
