Ride Along: A.R.T. Dodge Viper ACR on the Track at Harris Hill Road
American Racing Technology invited Autovoce to the annual Texas Viper
Roundup where I took a ride on the track in their tuned 2008 Dodge Viper
SRT-10 ACR. This car is a monster and I had an incredible time whipping
around on the asphalt. In the video we pass a Nissan 350Z and an Aston
Martin Vanquish S. Later we play tag with another Viper ACR.
Performance specs and modifications for the A.R.T. ACR:
-Full Ballenger Exhaust and headers
-A.R.T. cold air intake

What you dont see in this video is the Viper's clean, customized interior
which includes an impressive sound system.

-Pioneer Avic-X910BT DVD navi multimedia player in a custom fabricated
color matched trim bezel
-3 Alpine PDX amps with 2400 watts of power

Dodge Viper ACR racing at Daytona International Speedway with PBOC and Viper Days
Here is a 10 min video of Chad McNiel and David McNiel trip to Daytona -
First are random pictures of the cars and track and then on to racing....
Chad Raced his SRT-4 Neon in the Challenge group of Viper Days and PBOC
Florida Chapter and hit speeds in the 140's.... Me, well I in the race
group and was toping out around 170 on the main straight...The track was
fairly challenging and was very fast. A ton of walls and things to hit if
you went off - During the 2-hour endurance race on Saturday 4 cars had
blowouts - 2 of which hit the wall and had a lot of damage.... I think they
learned a lot about proper tire pressures that day. Lots of cars from raced
from BMW, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, corvette and Comp Coupe Viper and
yes the Dodge Viper ACR; Kevin Ferguson and Brad Gorrondana from the Dallas
area with their ACRs were with us too.
Gates311: 188mph at BIR!
Here's another video from BIR, this time from inside the car recorded on a
Canon 7D. I went out there, took it easy and broke in a fresh new set of
Nitto NT01's, this video capture that process haha.
It's been a long time since I've had some content to post up...finally I've
got some! Ok, so after some more 'development' issues (Intercooler pipes, throttle bodies,
transmissions, etc.... haha), I made it up to BIR in MN this weekend for a
final shakedown before heading to Vegas this weekend for Redline T/A at
The main focus was to make sure the car ran, smoothly, and that it was
fast. I know the car can handle, we've developed the JRZ/Nitto combo awhile
ago, so I wasn't pushing it too hard thru the corners. BUT, you get to see
the car hit 188 and hear it spank pretty hard haha! Also, running old brake
pads...hence the squeal.
