Taipan Motorsport is very proud of both our pit girls (Marta and Camilla)
for there outstanding efforts over the weekend at Powercruise Syd 2010.

For those wondering, I did crank the Boost above our Dyno shootout effort just for
Marta, wouldn't you?
Massive shout out to the Team at MR HDT, you guys are the Big Guns of the

FPV Typhoon 4L turbo into the 9s - ZF 6-speed auto
Christian's FPV F6 has become the first 4L turbo Falcon into the 9s using the factory ZF
6-speed auto trans. An awesome achievement, the car is aided by a Nizpro
Stage 2+ performance package using the factory Garrett turbo (upgraded 0.7 compressor cover and Nizpro
modified wastegate). Making around 450kW to the wheels on 24psi Boost, the car is fuelled by E85 ethanol and
was raced with a full Exhaust, and on
275 street radials. Interesting the modified transmission still retains the
stock converter stall speed. Christian went 10.06 then 10.007 before going
9.98 at 138mph on his final pass of the day. The car was unable to complete
another pass due to no roll cage fitted.
BTA Motorsports 1000hp 'Monster' Ford F6 turbo
Just how far can you push the tried and proven Ford straight six? This is
what we try to find out with our project "Monster" F6.
The goal? A 1000hp engine in a street package. The result? 1300hp+ from the
engine with 992.8hp at the rear wheels.

727 Cubic Inches and Australian Tire Smoke! - Roadkill Episode 10
On this episode of Roadkill, there's endless burnouts and powerskids as
David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan of HOT ROD magazine are on the loose in
Australia with 727ci of Sonny Leonard hemi-headed madness. The massive
big-block makes 1,275 horsepower between the
fenders of a 2006 Holden HSV VE Clubsport R8. In American, that's like a
Pontiac G8. This display of overkill is the product of "Gup," the promoter
of the Powercruise series of events in Australia, New Zealand, and
Minnesota (USA) where tire smoke is the rule. On the show, you'll see tire
fire from Gup's infamous "Elvis" '74 Holden HQ, from his 727ci Clubbie,
from a 1,500ci diesel semi truck, and from Downunder's most throttle-happy
petrolheads on both coasts. The miracle is that Freiburger and Finnegan
aren't still in an Aussie jail. Of course, that might have been less
punishing than the 30-hour flight home.
Roadkill appears every fourth Friday on the new Motor Trend channel.
