2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport Test Drive & Crossover SUV Video Review

http://www.autobytel.com/new-cars/hyundai/santa-fe/?id=32972 The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe is a brand new redesign that makes this the 3rd generation automobile. It's hard to believe that the Santa Fe came out back in 1998. Back then there were not many crossovers on the market yet. Now that practically every automobile manufacturer has a crossover, Hyundai is playing it smart. They have gotten rid of the Veracruz model and then Hyundai has created a long wheel base and a short wheel base Santa Fe. Prices start at $24,450. There are 2 different engine options available on the 2013 Santa Fe Sport. The first is a direct injected 2.4 liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 190 horsepower and 181 lb-ft. of torque. The second engine is a 2.0 liter turbocharged and gasoline direct injected motor that makes 264 horsepower and 269 lb-ft. of torque. The standard transmission is a 6-speed automatic. Fuel economy is 31 MPG combined for the turbo and 33 MPG combined for the naturally aspirated engine. On the inside the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport has a great 8-inch Navigation as an option. The panoramic sunroof is ultra cool and lets rear passengers enjoy the fresh air and sunlight. The Santa Fe Sport comes standard with many great features like cruise control, power windows and locks, Bluetooth, and steering wheel mounted audio controls to name a few. Safety wise the Santa Fe comes with 7 airbags, stability control, traction control, and anti-lock brakes. These items are all standard on the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. Many improvements have been made and maybe the most important is the reduction in weight. The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe weighs 266 lbs. less than the previous model. That weight reduction has a positive effect on fuel economy. The Santa Fe Sport can carry up to 5 people. The rear seat is a 40/20/40 split bench making for a versatile crossover SUV. You can order the Santa Fe in either FWD or AWD configurations. The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport is priced right alongside its competition. But with the Santa Fe you get more standard features for your money along with a great 10 year 100k mile warranty. 10 of the Best Seven Seater SUVs - Autobytel's 7 Passenger SUV List
http://www.autobytel.com/new-cars/sport-utility-vehicles/?id=32972 Even though more and more Americans are downsizing to save money, there is still a need for 7 passenger SUVs and Crossovers. Let's take a look at 10 of the best seven seater SUVs in the U.S.A. 10) Lincoln MKT - The Lincoln MKT is a luxury version of the Ford Flex with a total cargo area of over 70 cubic feet. The engine that powers the MKT is 3.7 liter V-6 but there is also a 3.5 liter ecoBoost V-6 engine option. The Lincoln MKT can be had with AWD too. But what really makes the MKT stand out from the crown of seven seater SUVs is its unique styling featuring a massive front grille. 9) Buick Enclave -- The Buick Enclave is a worth advisory for some of the 7 Passenger Luxury SUVs like the Acura MDX. The 3.6 liter direct injection V-6 is a proven commodity having over 280 horsepower plus the ability to tow 4500 lbs. Where this seven passenger SUV really shines is the interior. The Enclave is comprised of high quality materials and top notch technology which help the Enclave make it to the list of 10 best seven seater SUVs. 8) Subaru Tribeca -- The Tribeca is Subaru's largest vehicle offering boasting AWD and room for 7 passengers. With tons of interior room the Tribeca is not only an effective hauler but it also a capable off-road SUV. The 3.6 liter V-6 makes over 250 horsepower which is enough to get the job done. 7) Acura MDX -- The Acura MDX is one of those vehicles that absolutely nailed its mission statement by being a reliable premium SUV that is built to last. Standard Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive makes this a sure footed seven seater SUV. The 3.7 liter V-6 engine provides plenty of power. The Acura MDX is one of those rare vehicles that owners want to keep forever. 6) Ford Expedition -- The Ford Expedition is a true body-on-frame SUV that can handle 7 or 8 passengers and their gear thanks to 108 cubic feet or storage. This large SUV can also tow over 9000 lbs. The 301 horsepower 5.4 liter V-8 might not be the most cutting edge but its works well when mated to the 6-speed automatic transmission. The Expedition is an old school SUV and you can negotiate deep discounts on this seven seater vehicle. 5) Honda Pilot -- Honda was a little bit late to the SUV game with the Pilot but they have quickly emerged as a measuring stick for other brands. The 250 horsepower 3.5 liter V-6 engine is the smallest in the group but it does feature cylinder deactivation to help save fuel. Perhaps the greatest attribute of this 7 passenger SUV is that it's very easy to drive for its size. Honda understands how these SUVs are being used so they made this one of the best on the market for families. 4) Infiniti JX -- When Infiniti launched the 7 passenger JX crossover, their #1 objective was to give shoppers a viable alternative to the Acura MDX. Early sales success indicates they have a winner on their hands. The aggressive styling, cutting edge entertainment, and trick motorized second row make the JX one great choice as the best seven seater SUVs. The Infiniti JX is built for comfort and the CVT trans eliminates shifting so that the 3.5 liter V-6 engine keeps all 265 horses running smoothly. 3) Mazda CX-9 -- The Mazda CX-9 has remained relatively unchanged since its debut back in 2007. Although this seven seater SUV is one of the oldest, it still represents a great value. The 3.7 liter V-6 makes 273 horsepower and is mated to a 6-speed automatic. What the CX-9 may lack in flash more than makes up in the areas of reliability and overall value. Mazda may be known more for their Zoom Zoom cars but they can also make some great family automobiles that can transport up to 7 people. 2) Nissan Armada -- When Nissan launched the Armada, the intention was to put a dent in Suburban and Expedition sales by providing a full-sized truck based vehicle with Japanese engineering. The Armada's 5.7 liter V-8 engine is more than capable of carrying 7 passengers, their luggage, and a towing a larger object weighing over 9000 lbs. While there are many 7 seater SUVs and crossovers out there, few can transport them as comfortably as the Armada. 1) Chevrolet Suburban -- At the top of the Autobytel best seven passenger car list is the Chevy Suburban. This is one of the longest running nameplates in the automotive world spanning many decades. There is a reason for this; the Suburban can carry 7 or 8 passengers, all their gear, and more with a very comfortable ride. 2013 Toyota RAV4 Test Drive & Crossover SUV Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/toyota/rav4/?id=32972 The Toyota RAV4 first hit the shores here in the U.S. back in 1996. This little crossover SUV along with the Honda CR-V is responsible for starting the crossover craze. Today there are almost 50 different crossover models for sale here in America. The 4th generation RAV4 is an updated model that gets a complete interior and exterior redesign as well as an updated powerplant. The 2013 Toyota RAV4 comes in 3 trim levels: the LE, the XLE, and the top of the line Limited. The base price on the LE trim is just under $25k The RAV4 vs. CR-V battle reminds us of the old Ford vs. Chevy battles during the muscle car era. Over the past few years the Honda CR-V has really taken over the segment, gaining the most market share. But the all-new 2013 Toyota RAV4 aims to get back on top of the crossover sales charts. There are a ton of new features and lots of changes that make the 4th generation RAV4 the best ever. The past generation Toyota RAV4 came with a choice of a 4-cylinder or V-6 engine. Well the larger V-6 has been dropped and now the only engine offered is an efficient 2.5 liter 4-cylinder making 176 horsepower and 172 lb-ft. of torque. What that means is coupled with the standard 6-speed automatic transmission and FWD; the 2013 Toyota RAV4 will return 31 MPG on the highway. You can also opt for an AWD version as a $1400 option. The 2013 Toyota RAV4 has been completely redesigned outside and in. It all starts with a brand new front end consisting of a bold grille and headlights that look similar to the new Camry. This generation RAV4 was made more aerodynamic and the result is better fuel economy. If you are buying a crossover chances are you may be driving around small children. The new Toyota RAV4 comes with a segment leading 8 standard air bags. Toyota engineers also worked the interior design to allow for the most cargo volume in the segment. The interior of the 2013 Toyota RAV4 is completely new with some great new features including an Acoustic Windshield which helps reduce wind noise. From the driver's perspective, the new instrumentation is pleasing while being easy to use. After the 7 year run of the previous model, Toyota has really stepped it up inside the cabin. The 2013 Toyota RAV4 sits nicely on the road and you will like the way it drives on the highway. This is an economy crossover SUV after all so you shouldn't expect the RAV4 to ride like a luxury car. Bottom line is that Toyota did a great job on the newly redesigned RAV4. They really hit the mark on this one and it's a huge improvement over the outgoing model. The 2013 Toyota RAV4 certainly has all the features you need. In fact the RAV4 can now compete with the Honda CR-V at the top of the economy crossover SUV segment. 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Test Drive & SUV Video Review
The Hyundai Santa Fe has been totally redesigned for the 2013 model year. There are now two distinct wheelbases being offered: a short wheelbase called the Sport and a long wheel base that adds a third row of seating. The extended version features a few different design elements as it replaces the Veracruz in Hyundai's line-up. If you are trying to decide between the Santa Fe and the Santa Fe Sport; here are some numbers that might help you with your decision. The smaller Sport carries 5 passengers while the larger model can seat up to 7. The longer wheelbase adds 8.5 inches to the overall length, there is 4 more inches at the wheelbase, and has almost 39 more cubic feet of interior room. See Details on the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe http://www.autobytel.com/hyundai/santa-fe/2013/?id=32972 The Santa Fe is a vehicle that is very important to Hyundai because in the 90's when the company was struggling, the Santa Fe kept the brand going. Now this third generation SUV is bigger, better, and more powerful than ever. The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe has 3 different trims. The first is the 5 passenger Sport model which comes with 2 different engine choices. The second is the Santa Fe Limited which seats 6 passengers thanks the Captain's Chairs in the second row. The third trim is the GLS which is essentially the entry level model but has seating for 7 passengers. Another distinction that is made between the Santa Fe and the Santa Fe Sport is what lives under the hood. The long wheel base models can be had with a 3.3 liter GDi V-6 engine that produces 290 horsepower and 252 lb-ft. of torque. Hyundai also lightened the larger Santa Fe by 330 lbs. giving this crossover SUV the best power to weight ratio in the segment. Fuel economy is 18 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway. The transmission is a 6-speed automatic. From an appearance standpoint the Santa Fe has a nice fresh modern look with a big bold grille, massive headlights, and streamlined look which is pretty unique for a crossover. Power lift gates are very important for buyers in this segment. If you want an automatic lift gate you will have to opt for the Limited model. Driving dynamics are excellent. The driver sits high up in the vehicle offering great visibility. The steering is as true as it gets for a crossover. Overall you are going to have a great ownership experience when you set up to the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe. 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/hyundai/veloster/2013/?id=32972 When the Hyundai Veloster was released in 2011 many enthusiasts were excited to see a fantastic looking and affordable sport compact car that would give the other hot hatchbacks in the segment a run for their money. The let down came when the hood was opened to reveal a 138 horsepower 1.6 liter naturally aspirated engine that was more suited for fuel efficiency rather that for performance. Well now you can have your cake with the release of the 2013 Hyundai Veloster turbo! The base price on the turbo model is $21,950. The 2013 Hyundai Veloster turbo is powered by a twin-scroll turbocharged 1.6 liter 4-cylinder engine based on the standard Veloster Gamma GDi engine. The turbo motor has a lower compression ratio at 9.5:1 to handle the added Boost pressure. The gasoline direct injection (GDi) motor also sports Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing (D-CVVT). Power output for the turbo engine is 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft. of torque which puts the Veloster turbo right in the middle of the sport compact car pack. The standard transmission is a 6-speed manual but there is also is 6-speed automatic version with paddle shifters. The manual is the more fuel efficient transmission at 26 MPG in the city and 38 MPG on the highway. On the outside the Hyundai Veloster turbo model is distinguishes itself from the regular model in a few ways. For started, the Veloster turbo has a huge wide-mouth front grille opening to let in vast amounts of cool air. There is also a lower lip spoiler on the turbo model. Another cool feature found on the turbo-only model are the LED lights front and back. The front projector headlights sport LED daytime running light accents which are normally reserved for high end luxury vehicles. The wheels on the Hyundai Veloster turbo are 18-inch alloy units that combine both a matte and chrome finish. The limited edition matte gray pain job will set you back an additional $800, but the finished result is well worth it. The standard non-turbo Veloster features squared Exhaust tips while the turbo model has rounded ones. The 2013 Hyundai Veloster turbo can be considered one of the hottest new hatchbacks on the market. Not only does the Veloster turbo have over 200 horsepower, but this car can get up to 38 MPG on the highway. The 2013 Veloster turbo looks great and comes packed with tons of standard features. However, it comes with a price to match, stretching Hyundai's reputation for offering value for money further than any car it has ever released before. The five-year warranty package remains, as does the powerful 2.2-litre diesel engine, but the Santa Fe now costs a similar amount to Honda's new CR-V.
