Worst Subaru Timing Belt Video Ever (Part 1) -EricTheCarGuy

It's true that in some ways this is the worst Subaru timing belt
replacement video ever. The main reason is because of the lack of footage.
This was my first attempt at using the GoPro as a POV camera while I
worked. The hands free part was great, the camera intermittently cutting
out sucked. I didn't realize that I had lost footage until after I started
to edit. Once I saw that I was missing come key scenes I became pretty
depressed about it. Especially since I had already sold the Subaru and it
was long gone, so reshooting was not an option. I did the best I could to
pick up the pieces with the voice over. I think it turned out OK. The GoPro
is a great camera when it works. In the future I'll be doing things
differently. For now, if you really need a good Subaru timing belt
replacement video, check this one out from BriansMobile1. He has a few
others as well, including one on the DOHC model.

Peugeot 406 Timing Belt Change
Changing a timing belt on a peugeot 406 2.0 HDi 110 DW10ATED
The car has around 122,000 miles and apparently it had a new belt put on at
79,000 miles but there was no receipts so to be sure i changed it.
It is quite an involved job, a lot of things to do and it needs to be done
right otherwise it can wreck the cars engine.
I would recommend reading the Haynes Manual and this, and reading them a
number of times to fully understand what is involved:
The tensioning procedure i did not show completely in the video as its hard
to show on camera and its best if you read the guide to see how its done.
I also replaced the water pump as its good to do when your in there, the
crankshaft oil seal was leaking hence all the oil/sludge in the area,
engine degreaser was used liberally to clean up the area and timing belt
covers before putting the new belt on.

I hope this video helps to show what is involved with a timing belt change
on a 2.0 HDi DW10ATED engine, but i strongly recommend that you read the
manual and the other guides.
I only intend for this video to help and condense the timing belt
replacement procedure, any suggestions on how to do things differently are

Timing Belt / Waterpump Replacement: Toyota & Lexus V6
Step by step DIY Video on how to replace the timing belt, waterpump,
camshaft and crankshaft seals, idler pulleys and tensioner on a Toyota or
Lexus with a V6 engine.
Procedure is the same for all 1994-2006 1MZ-FE (3.0L) and 3MZ-FE (3.3L)
engines, with the newer engines differing only in the timing belt tensioner
Procedure is straight forward starting with the removal of the dog bone
mount, engine support bracket, alternator and power steering belts, crank
pulley (harmonic balancer) and timing belt covers.
Once access to the timing belt is achieved, the tensioner is released so
the belt can be removed. The camshafts should be removed to get to the
waterpump, otherwise two studs running through the waterpump have to be
Special tools required are an impact wrench and air ratchet (not
mandatory), a seal puller, a pulley puller, torque wrench, and a crankshaft
and camshaft holding tool.
This job should take 4 hours for a DIY'er with moderate mechanical
aptitude. The Aisin timing belt kit with waterpump from RockAuto was used.
After the removal of the cam and crank bolts, the hardest part of this job
was dealing with the rear camshaft seal and aligning it with the marks on
the timing belt. Access is tight near the fender wall and removing the
power steering fluid line and reservoir is recommended.
