Group B - Crazy Fans
The lure of the Group B monster attracted more and more fans each stage,eager to get a glimpse of a quattro shooting 1 foot of flame out the Exhaust or see the cars throwing up dirt. Some rallys saw hundreds of thousands of fans lining the edge of the roads forming a human wall.
The rally fans during the Group B ere were the crazyest and biggest ever. Especially in countries like Portugal and San Remo where over 1 million people would attend rallys.

Saw this video on our daily visit to www.jalopnik.com today and it struck a cord. At RightDrive, we are all big rally fans and Group B was as good as rally got.
The madness that is Group B was beautifully captured in this video. Grou pB started in the early 1980`s and only lasted a few years. The cars were very powerful and dangerous.
Group B was very relaxed with rules, allowing teams to do just about anything, including homologation numbers for OE`s.

Group B -- Tribute to the Golden Era
This is a tribute to the rallying of the middle 80's, when Group B monsters dominated the championship. There were no serious restrictions for the cars and no limitations for developing, the tracks were extremely dangerous and the crowd were as close to the cars as possible. As the result of rapid evolution the cars became as powerful as F1 cars and it was too much for human abilities to keep them on the nasty roads on the limit. In 1986, after several horrible crashes, FIA banned Group B rallying forever.
