78 Mercury Grand Marquis 312,000 Miles Near Mint 1 Owner 6.6L 400 Big Block
Classic Youngtimer http://www.1ownercarguy.com This is a very cool car.
Usually I like cars with really low miles but this car is sol cool because
it has 312,000 original miles on it and runs like a newer car. This is only
a 1 Owner Car and yes the miles are actual. The previous owner drove the
car back and fourth from Canada to California. You would never guess the
miles by looking at the car. The factory baby blue paint is in great shape
and has a very nice shine to it. The factory white vogue top looks great on
the car and is in about as good of shape as you will find. The body is
straight as can be and the paint is original. It has the 6.6L 400 engine
that fires right up and runs great. It has been rebuilt along with many
other things on the car. I talked to the mechanics that worked on the car
and they remembered the guy and how good he took care of his car and really
liked it. You would have to really like a car to put that many miles on it.
The car feels and handles like a newer car and just floats down the road.
The interior is in mint condition along with the rest of the car. Only the
drivers seat shows minimal wear. It looks like he was the only one that
made the trips because none of the other seats look like they hardly ever
got sat in. Everything about this car is just clean as can be. You won't
find another car like this.

From 2003 to 2004, Ford resurrected the Marauder name as a high-performance
version of the Mercury Grand Marquis sedan. Although the Mercury division
is most directly a competitor to Buick (and formerly Oldsmobile), the
design of this Marauder drew many parallels to the 1994--1996 Chevrolet
Impala SS and the later 2006-present Dodge Charger SRT-8 in being a
contemporary full-size "muscle sedan", and both being derived from a
police vehicle (the Marauder from the Ford Crown Victoria, and the Impala
SS from the Chevrolet Caprice).
To differentiate itself from the Grand Marquis, the Marauder borrowed and
customized trim parts from both its Ford and Mercury stablemates. The
headlights and corner lights, from the Grand Marquis, had all
non-reflective surfaces blacked out and wore a body-color grille instead of
chrome. Side trim and the B-pillars are painted body-color like the Crown
Victoria, which donated its trunklid, and tail lights tinted to just within
DOT standards. The Marauder wore its own front and rear bumpers, with the
front featuring Cibié fog lamps and "Marauder" embossed on the rear. The
car's five-spoke 18" wheels feature Mercury's classic "god-head" (Mercury's
silhouette) emblem on its center caps.
In contrast to the Grand Marquis, the interior of the Marauder featured
front bucket seats and a floor shifter with a center console; leather seats
were standard. Instead of the simulated wood trim seen in the Grand
Marquis, the Marauder substituted simulated satin aluminum trim in its
place. The instrument cluster was Marauder-specific, with satin aluminum
gauges (with a 140-mph speedometer borrowed from the Ford Police
Interceptor) and the pressed electrical board to control them are
model-exclusive. To make room for the tachometer, the oil-pressure gauges
and voltmeter were moved to the center console. The Marauder is also the
only Panther car after 1997 with a specific pin on the PCM for a

2006 Ford Crown Victoria LX Sport Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Tour
Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! YouTube's largest collection of automotive
variety! In today's video, we will take an up close and personal in depth
look at the 2006 Ford Crown Victoria LX Sport. A more sport oriented
version of the body on frame V8 RWD car we've all become familiar with. It
can be thought of as similar styling of a modern impala SS from the 90s.
More closely related to Mercury's Marauder without the cobra V8. Dual Exhaust, air ride suspension with tuned
springs and a sport styled interior, quite the awesome combo for fans of
these legendary vehicles! During this presentation, we will take a 1st
person look at what the car is all about beginning with the start up,
performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build
quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and
exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get
from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight
key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available
options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the
good ole engine portion with rev and Exhaust note with interior and exterior
perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a
greater overall appreciation of the vehicle. FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE
CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth reviews/tour of
automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion
than ever before. Basically, this gives the viewer the chance to view the
most detailed 1st person look you can get without going to an actual dealer
yourself! Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know
what to expect in my presentations. I treat every vehicle with the same
respect whether a 1960 Chevrolet Impala SS or the 2012 Lamborghini
Aventador. I film all types of vehicles from past, present, and future
while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see
everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very
proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to
what you see today. I wanted to share my love for the automotive world with
the rest of the world. Be sure to explore the massive video variety, have

2009 Mercury Grand Marquis Road Test
2009 Mercury Grand Marquis LS
Engine: 4.6 liter SOHC V8 (224 horsepower/275 ft. lbs. of
Transmission: 4-speed automatic w/OD
Rear Wheel Drive
City/Highway MPG: 15/23
This is a full road test of my mom's 2009 Mercury Grand Marquis, to show
how it performs in different situations, and to identify any problems that
may exist. I would normally do this after having the car in the shop for
repairs, but in this case I am driving the car around just to get a better
idea of how it feels on the road.
I drove it for about 2 hours and came away very impressed. It is
comfortable, refined, solid, and very agile. With only 224 horsepower, one would think
that it's underpowered compared to its V6 competitors. It's not. The
torquey V8 will pin you to your seat when gunned from a dead stop, and once
you're up to speed, there is always plenty of power in reserve. The big V8
has a deep, burly muscle car sound when revved, but at low RPMs it is muted
and unobtrusive in the cabin. The 4 speed automatic isn't much of a
handicap with the V8's torque curve, although it prefers not to downshift
into 1st or 2nd unless you mash the pedal to the floor. If you drive with a
light foot, and keep RPMs below 2000, you can easily attain 20+ mpg in
everyday driving situations. On the highway, the car is very efficient, due
to its tall overdrive gear that keeps the RPMs low.
The four wheel ABS disc brakes provide adequate stopping power, with
reasonably good pedal feel. Stopping distance is short in an emergency,
although the front end dives toward the ground.
The Marquis handles very well for a big car, even though it is not equipped
with the Handling Package (this option was discontinued around 2007). In
hard cornering, body roll is minimal and the Michelin tires provide plenty
of grip. The rack and pinion steering setup leaves feel somewhat numb, but
it's also pleasantly light and very accurate (especially on the highway).
Mercury obviously wanted to leave some "slop" in the steering, so the old
folks won't think they're driving a Ferrari :) If you must throw the car
around, it is safe and predictable, and can be quite fun for a boat.
Comfort is where the car really shines. The ride is very smooth, and gives
you the feeling of "floating" over bumps. This is great on the highway,
where little road imperfections are ironed out, but not so good on bumpy
back roads. If you hit potholes or man hole covers, the car pogos up and
down a couple times before settling. I enjoy this type of ride, but many
people do not. Inside, the car is very quiet, and road noise is minimal.
The leather bench seats are supremely comfortable and roomy, even after a
couple of hours.
Overall I am really pleased with how the car drives, and it just happens to
be a car I would consider buying used.

2003 Mercury Marauder -10th Year Anniversary (Show & Burnout)
In celebration of the 10th year since the release of the revival of the
2003 Mercury Marauder. -The Marauder model lasted only lasted from
2003-2004, only 2 years. Mercury was discontinued in 2011. Its a shame.
Wish Ford could've breathed more life into Mercury in 2011 before killing
it off indefinitely. Mercury wasn't a bad vehicle brand. The Marauder held
it down too. We must strive keep alive the legacy of the Marauder, Mercury
and the Panther Platform. The last of a large great American automobile. It
was a great arrangement.
