Replacing or cleaning the AIC or Air Idle Control will do the trick if your
truck has 60-150K+ miles on it. This is a typical symptom of many cars that
use an AIC.
The second symptom is shuttering or a very quick drop of power while
accelerating. The part that looks like it solved the issue is the Throttle
position sensor located to the right of the full trottle body (modern
carburator). Both of these are perfect for the DYI'er.
The second issue it one of a few items that could cause this issue, but
this is the easiest to replace and most mechanics would replace this along
with a few other parts like the MAPP sensor and the rpm sensor. Good luck

Replacing the Air Suspension in a Lincoln Navigator/Expedition with Coil Springs
This video shows automotive repair professionals how to replace the air
suspension in a 2003-2006 Ford Expedition/Lincoln Navigator with Arnott's
High Performance Coil Spring Conversion Kit C-2293. This video also applies
to Arnott's C-2140 standard Coil Spring Conversion Kit.
Arnott's new high-performance coil spring conversion safely eliminates your
Ford or Lincoln air suspension while delivering unbelievable control and
stability, precise handling, ultimate performance, and incredible comfort.
At the core of this impressive aftermarket system is a Bilstein shock
absorber. Bilstein's patented valving and high-pressure nitrogen gas keep
the rear tire in constant contact with the road. Arnott's coil spring
suspension kit also features high-performance, variable-rate coil springs
to give you a 2-inch lowered drop from factory ride height.
Arnott's coil spring struts are preassembled and ready for easy
installation, eliminating the need for the use of a dangerous spring
compressor. Check out this video to see how easy it is.
