Peugeot 106 Acceleration 0-100 Top Speed & Sound Test
Peugeot 106 - We test the elderly Peugeot 106. With its small 1.0l 50 hp engine, we experience the cold start, acceleration of 0-100 and the top speed in this mini car. The Peugeot 106 was produced in two series. During the first (S1) from September 1991 to April 1996 and the second (S2) from May 1996 to July 2003 Here, the 106 S1 based on the Citroën AX introduced a few years earlier, during the 106 S2 is technically almost identical to the Citroën Saxo. Specifically, the vehicles of the first series were relatively easy, so that even comparatively good performance could be achieved with the smaller engines. Especially the XSi model with the 1.4-liter engine (94 hp) was at a maximum speed of 200 km / h and acceleration from 0-100 km / h in under ten seconds for a small car very quickly. Especially the Peugeot 106 GTI S16 with the 1.6 liter engine was very fast. Therefore, they were very popular in rally racing use.

BMW M4 vs Audi RS5: epic track battle
We test the BMW M4 against the benchmark setting fast coupe, the Audi RS5. BMW M4 review: http://bit.ly/1lb81cD Audi RS5 review: http://bit.ly/1nD11rN Subscribe to our YouTube channel http://bit.ly/11Ad1j1 Subscribe to the mag http://subscribe.autoexpress.co.uk/yt The arrival of a new BMW M car is always big news for performance car fans, and the new M4 is no exception. Costing almost £60,000, the replacement for the legendary old BMW M3, the M4 has moved away from the V8 power plant in the old car, and is now powered by a 425bhp twin-turbocharged straight-six engine. Meanwhile, the similarly prices Audi RS5 is propelled by a 4.0-litre V8, which produces 430bhp. It's also mated to the Audi quattro four-wheel drive system. Like the BMW, it also features a dual-clutch gearbox, the Audi S tronic system. There's no denying the Audi lacks the fun factor of the BMW - the quattro four-wheel-drive system prevents the lurid powerslides than you can really go for in the M4. You can also feel the weight of the engine over the front axle in the RS5, but it certainly doesn't feel slow at all. Overall then, the RS5 feels very punchy, and the gearshift is also really nice - the same can be said for its V8 soundtrack. It's not a track machine though, and the car from Neckarsulm is more of a very stable and very rapid cruiser. Meanwhile, the BMW M4 feels very raw and very serious, especially when all the settings are put at their sportiest via the M1 switch on the steering wheel. These also turn the traction control and stability control off. With no electronic aids, the M4 is always trying to get its tail out. However, the body control is amazing, but there is a feeling that it's all a bit artificial. The same can be said for the engine note, which has been enhanced. The M4 is a proper M car though, and something BMW can be truly proud of. It set a lap time of 1m09.9s, compared to the 1m12.2s set by the Audi - that's 2.3s quicker.

Peugeot 106 Timing Belt Replacement
Changing the timing belt on a 2002 Peugeot 106 1.1 independence with the TU1J5 fuel injected engine. This car has still less than 50,000 miles but i think that is close to the recommended interval, and there is also the fact that the timing belt itself is original and about 12 years old so it is a good time to change it. This is a fairly easy timing belt to change helped by the fact the car has a spring loaded tensioner so there is no need to guess what tension the belt should be at, and no worries that you can't find the mysterious SEEM measuring tool that is mentioned in the haynes manual. (If it had a manual tensioner you just have to tension the belt by hand which takes a bit of experience but the SEEM machine is not needed) In addition to that this engine is a simple single camshaft 8v engine, so less things to mark the position of. As for marking the position of the crank and camshaft before removing the belt, i chose just to mark these parts with a marker instead of removing the starter and locking the crankshaft via the flywheel, i did the locking the starter via flywheel in other videos and got plenty of comments asking if it was necessary, so here i just marked the positions instead. Initially i had the intention of using the Haynes manual and quoting the torque for the different nuts and bolts but after the water pump bolt broke i decided not to bother and just tighten the bolts up by feel. I think my draper 3/8 torque wrench was out of calibration which caused it to snap the bolt, so if you have a torque wrench which is correctly calibrated then take a look in the Haynes manual. Take care when changing the timing belt, its a job which must be down correctly if done wrong it has the potential to ruin the engine so if in any doubt take the car to a mechanic to change the belt instead.

Mercedes S-Class Coupe review
Mercedes has a tradition of building fast, elegant coupes and traditionally it's always launched them with some sort of ground breaking technology. And it's the same story with the S-Class Coupe. Subscribe to our YouTube channel http://bit.ly/11Ad1j1 Subscribe to the mag http://subscribe.autoexpress.co.uk/yt The Mercedes S-Class Coupe is based on the new S-Class saloon and replaces the old CL. If you want one, it'll cost you from around £100,000. The bodywork is all new with sharp creases and a long bonnet, sloping roof and a neat spoiler integrated into the boot lid. The range topping S63 AMG model has a body kit and forged alloy wheels. All S-Class Coupe models feature intelligent headlamps, and the daytime running lights and indicator repeaters feature Swarowski crystals to produce a clearer light. They also get a glass panoramic sunroof which in no way impedes on rear practicality. The sunroof can also be specced with Mercedes' 'Magic Sky' sunroof, which darkens the glass at the touch of a button. It's clear than Mercedes has gone all out with the interior on the C-Class Coupe, and the cabin is different in terms of layout to the saloon. The S63 AMG models also benefit from some sporty add ons, but rest assured - every model in the line-up oozes quality. Like the S-Class saloon, the S-Class Coupe is supremely comfortable thanks to its air suspension, and the Magic Body Control improves this further. However, the S-Class Coupe features some new ground breaking technology called Curve Tilt Control. This system uses the car's computer controlled suspension to lean into the corner like a motorbike does in order to Boost comfort. The S-Class Coupe is also supremely quiet, despite being powered by a 5.5-litre biturbo V8 and being able to go from 0-62mph in 4.3 seconds. The S63 AMG Coupe also comes with upgraded suspension, upgraded brakes and an MCT gearbox. The latter isn't the smoothest system in the world, but overall, it handles very well. It's not an SLS though, but it's not supposed to be. It's been designed to be a very quick, gadget laden cruiser which is the most comfortable of its type on the market - and that's exactly what it is.
