Owner: • Gordon Tronson In the world of hot-rodding there are few cars that are going to leave as big an impression as this - the 1927 Ford Model T custom simply known as "Double-Trouble". It rides on a custom-built tube chassis that's fabricated from 1.5-inch tube. I appreciate all comments... but there is no reason to leave anything nasty. I am new to iRacing and I am trying to build up speed... These laps are not clean nor impressive but they are my starting point and my personal video reference for the future. I am clocking around 2:20ish per lap which lets be honest is nothing special.... but I'm sure with practice I will drop this down towards the 2:10 mark. Compared to something like GT6... where I can consistently achieve 2:07 Lap times with the older 2000 Mobil Falcon V8 supercar (all assists tuned off)... it's safe to say iRacing is definitely the more challenging simulator. I have much more awareness of the cars weight and I have to be really conscious to feather the accelerator through the winding sections and modulate the brake pedal to try and avoid lockup. I am using the clutch along with the paddle shifters, iRacing will not allow me to use my H pattern shifter with the FG Falcon. In the future I will be investing in a Fanatec sequential shifter, but for the moment the paddles will have to do. I am running 13FFB which I personally believe gives the wheel enough weight to feel as realistic as driving a real car. I played around with higher FFB setting and it felt like I was driving a bus... so for me this setting feels optimal. I truly enjoy racing.. and sim racing is a hobby of mine, that's why I have invested all this money into it. FG XR6 Turbo Middle Muffler Delete Sound
Had the middle muffler removed from my car yesterday. It's only until I can afford a custom system and tune. For the meantime this will do.. It sounds rather tough I think. I had the whole front half of the Exhaust made as 3" so it doesn't split then go back into single. Only other mods are a Plazmaman 4" turbo side intake and hotside Intercooler piping. Other than that nothing else touched.
