1995 Saturn S Series SC2 engine rebuild
This 1995 Saturn SC2 I found on craigslist with a rod knock. I saved it from the scrap yard. *Head cleaned and shaved, no valve seals installed, leak tested. *Block cleaned, bores honed *Pistons cleaned, sand blasted and 6 holes drilled in oil control grooves *Old crank bad, "new" used crank polished *New standard Clevite 77 rod and main bearings *New DNJ standard piston rings *New Cloyes timing chain kit *New DNJ oil pump kit + new GM oil control relief valve + GM oil pick up tube seal *All new seals *New Crank sensor *New Alternator *New water pump *New Idler Pulley *New belt tensioner *New Denso Iridium spark plugs *New NAPA plugs wires *New Coolant Temp sensors (2) *New Fuel filter *New Thermostat *New Upper/Lower Radiator hoses *New Serpentine Belt *New Power steering fluid *New trans fluid 2.5 qts(5 speed manual) *New Auto Zone clutch kit - Clutch, disc & throw out bearing *New O2 sensor(pending, wrong part from Rock Auto) Pretty much, the engine is completely rebuilt. Better than new!

Ecotec LSJ powered 95 Saturn SC2
My 95 Saturn SC2 with a 2005 Saturn Ion redline engine and trans swap. Current mods are ZZP front mount heat exchanger, ZZP dual pass endplate, ZZP stage 1 pcm, Cobalt addictions shorty header with 3 inch down pipe and 2.5 inch full Exhaust. None of this would have been possible without the help of my best friend Lee Alt. He is the owner of Lees garage and a master fabricator and welder. This guy could build his own space shuttle from scrap parts.

Saturn SC2 Convertible/Chop Top via sawzall, & Deploying Airbag In The Glovebox!
This Saturn has a bad engine knock, and has been sitting in my garage for a year. Finally, I decided to do something fun with it... cut the roof off! At the end of the video, I removed the driver's air bag and set it in the glove box, wired up a battery to it, and deployed it.

00-02 Saturn S-Series headliner removal
In this video I show you how the headliner board is removed from a 2002 Saturn SL2. This is part of the process to either replace the fabric on the board or to work on the sunroof. I unfortunately did not record the replacement of the fabric because I butchered the install but there are many videos out there that will show you how. The Sunroof is a project come spring. Disclaimer: I am not a licensed mechanic and the knowledge I have is purely from research into different problems I have been trying to resolve. As this is a major procedure for this vehicle, I will not be responsible for any damage or other mishaps that might occur should you decide to pursue the repair after viewing this video. This video is intended to be for informational purposes only.

Saturn SL2 Valve Cover Gasket Replacement (DOHC)
This is a long one, Sorry, but it pretty much goes through the step by step and shows some of my mistakes so you don't make them. Also, verify that the gasket fits. If you have the time then I would suggest bringing the valve cover in with you(assuming you bought it from a local parts store) and make sure it fits before leaving. I must have gotten one from a bad batch because the first one was too big. You will see that in the video. The second try was the right(ish) one. apparently it is a known problem that the molding process is incorrect for these gaskets but luckily they are rubber so you can just remold it to fit. Also a word of caution: at some point you may see me use carburetor cleaner on the plastic valve cover. DO NOT use carburetor cleaner on the plastic. The main ingredient is Acetone(which I also use to clean) and it has the ability to melt the plastic. Use another solvent that is friendly to plastics like mineral spirits. Good Luck and Hope this helps you save some money. Spent about $60 total doing this in tools and parts. Note: I am not a mechanic, these videos are meant to be for informational purposes only. Should you follow the steps shown you do so at your own risk.
