Comp Highlights and All Finals
From The 44th Annual Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Division 1 Event @ Old
Bridge Township Raceway Park on Saturday 9/11/10. These are the Finals in
Comp, Stock, Super Comp, Super Gas and Super Street that were run that
night. I apologize for the shakiness of the camera after the 1st session of
Comp, that was all taken without my tripod (I took my camera off the tripod
when Kevin Robb made his run in the Vinny Barone D/ED) and the first time
I've taken video sans the tripod and I was trying some "Dean Papadeas style
swoopy cam" stuff.
Pat Hennebery Jr - 1990 Summer Nationals semi finalist
Pat Hennebery Jr - 1990 Summer Nationals semi finalist. After qualifying
32nd on the last shot I was extremely pleased to make it to the semi finals
at this National event in Englishtown New Jersey. The class is C/Econo
Altered (C/EA) and the Beretta is powered by 304 cubic inch Chevy-Buick.
That's a Chevy short block with Dart/Buick aluminum heads and intake
manifold using a single 750 Holley carb. The two speed powerglide
transmission built by my friend Doug Smith got the power to the 6.00 gears
in the 9" Ford rear end and hooked up on 14x32 Firestone slicks. The car
ran consistent 8.70's at about 154 miles per hour. The last run shown in
this video is me getting beat by "Bad to the Bone" Vinny Barone in his
A/Street Roadster (A/SR) in round 4, the semi finals. Vinny red-lit in the
final next round handing the win to Ray Smith in a A/Econo Altered (A/EA)

Also something to note around Mighty Car Mods: we are normal guys and are
not trained mechanics. We like to make interesting car mods and show you
how we've gone about it, but we can't promise that anything we show you
will work for your particular car, or that you won't harm yourself, someone
else, your car or your warranty doing it. Please be safe, be responsible
and unless you know what you're doing, do not fool around with very serious
machinery just because you've seen us make it look so easy. Talk to a
qualified mechanic if you are in any doubt.
