'69 Shelby Cobra GT 500
Sail down the coast with a '69 Shelby Cobra GT 500 full of passengers. A
shade of blue/green that is just mesmerizing to look at. Almost as perfect
as the day it was delivered, still has the "Starting Instructions" flyer on
the driver's sun visor and the addition of Carroll Shelby's signature on
the glovebox lid. A beautiful example of this quintessentially classic
From the owner:
Restored by Keith Craft in 2010. Repainted to its original color of
Gulfstream Aqua. It currently has about 55,000 miles on the ODO.
It has its original matching numbers 428 CJ engine and top loader 4-speed
transmission, and original interior (though the seats are in storage so
they don't get worn out).
At Mustang Northwest's 19th
Annual Mustang Roundup, the
car took 2nd place (was painted black at the time).
Won a silver medal in 2010 at Mid America Mustang Nationals.
More recently it was selected as one of the top 20 cars at the 2011 Shelby
Bash car show, placed third at the La Jolla Concours, and won second at the
2011 COCOA Concours de Nice (pronounced the "nice" not "niece").
To preserve the original engine, I had Keith Craft build a 427 side oiler
which is being installed this week. That should give the car quite a bit
more power, while allowing me to store the original engine for
Classics Revealed: The Shelby Cobra
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The Shelby Cobra is perhaps the World's most
iconic and thus copied car. Less than 1000 original Ford AC Cobras were
built by Carroll Shelby. Tens of Thousands of copies of the original 289
and 427 AC Cobras exist with most of them being "kit cars" copies. In this
exclusive TFLcar video we visit Superformace in Southern California to
learn why the Shelby Cobra is such an iconic race car and automobile.
Superformance along with Carroll Shelby's own Shelby Automobiles, Inc build
what many call "Continuation Cars". These are brand new Shelby Cobra
roadsters and coupes that have official Shebly CSX serial numbers. They are
of course not the original series of Shelby Cobra cars which now demand
hundreds of thousands of dollars by collectors when they do come up for
sale , but they are also not copies. They are simply new Shelby Cobras
built as a continuation of the original series of cars. In other words,
these are new Shelby Cobras. If you are a fan of Carroll Shelby and his
cars you'll like this video as we get deep into the history of what many
believe is America's most beautiful and iconic race car.
Shelby Cobra LOUD start and acceleration!!
I spot this vicious facroty 5 shelby cobra in Wrentham, MA. the owner was
really cool, and as you can see from the video, offered me a ride in his
beast of a car! i love the way this V8 gurgles when he starts up, then how
it backfires after he accelerates down that straight! Comment, rate, and

"The Cobras on display at the L.A. County Arboretum & Botanic Garden this
weekend don't hiss or spit or bite. They will be sitting pretty on the
grass when the 127-acre Arcadia grounds host Shelby Cobra sports cars for
the exhibit 'Serpents in the Garden,' " writes Susan Carpenter in the Los
Whether your passion is cars, trees or auto design, the Cobra exhibit on
Saturday & Sunday, October 6 & 7, offers a new way to experience the

30 cars on display each day with owners on hand to answer your questions.
Children can have their photo taken in a Cobra go-cart and participate in a
scavenger hunt. The first 250 who complete the hunt each day will receive
a Hot Wheels car.

Shelby Daytona Cobra Coupe - Lovely Exhaust Sounds!
This video shows an extremely rare and original 1964 Shelby Daytona Cobra
Coupe, only six Daytona original coupes were ever built between 1964 and
1965. In 2009 a Daytona Coupe (chassisnumber CSX2601) was sold for
$7.25million US dollars, with such a ridiculous value it's even more
incredible to see one being driven very fast around track!

Donuts in a 1966 Cobra - /BIG MUSCLE
It's a 1966 Shelby Cobra replica that was built by a Father and his two
sons more than 10 years ago. It's faded fiberglass shell is chipped and
spider-webbed. The stainless trim is pitted and tarnished and the wheels
are coated in a thick layer of brake dust. The carpet is also coming up and
every now and then it blows flames from its side-pipes due to it running a
little rich. Some may think these are problems. Me personally - I think
it's one of the coolest cars I've ever driven. This episode of "Big Muscle"
is about the drive, those project cars that we work on, and the
exhilaration we get when we wring them out for the first time on the open
