VW Karmann Ghia - Dual Carb Decklid Spring FIX

This is how you solve the age old problem of decklid springs hitting the aircleaners on your dual Kadron carborators in your Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. Buy a couple K&N E-3220 filters. They are about $30 each, and yes that is expensive, but they are the last two airclearners you will ever have to buy for your ghia. I am using the EMPI intake manifolds, so this is the WORST CASE SCENERIO and it works. The stock Kadron aircleaners are 3-1/2" tall. The K&N filters are 2" tall.

How To Size Your K & N Air Filter
If you are building a custom intake for your engine, or you are increasing it's displacement, you've likely questioned whether your filter is restricting your engine's airflow. Here are the calculations to make sure your filter can pass a large enough volume of air through it to keep your engine from starving for air. The calculations are based on K and N airflow rates. If you are using a different manufacturer, check their website, they should have information showing how many cubic inches of air are allowed through their fiter media every minute.

The little son of a bitch hauls ass and corners like it's on rails. Great way to get around town in a hurry. Daily driver. I was planning to install carpet today, started by installing the insulation and was suckered into completing the heating system... Bad news, no carpet got installed, good news, the duct work is complete and a few oddball items have been checked off the punch list.

2015 VW Passat (B8) 2.0 TDI (150hp) - DRIVE & SOUND (1080p)
This week I present to You the full Drive & Sound test with the all new 2015/2016 Volkswagen Passat (B8) Sedan / Limousine powered by the popular 2.0 TDi delivering 150 hp and 340 Nm of torque. This particular car comes in "Comfortline" with 16 inch winter-wheels and the 6-speed manual transmission. Even in this "entry-level" trim this car is close to perfect as the engine pulls nicely and quiet, the agility and ride comfort ist very good and consumption was always at 5.x....even on the Autobahn. As you see in the video the acceleration is pretty much as expected, being not really slower than the same engine in the Golf 7. I don't know if I always hit the shifts perfect but overall this is a marvelous manual transmission with crisp yet very comfortable shifts. Unfortunately I was not able get either CarNet or MirrorLink going as the car didn't have the SIM-Module and MirrorLink was not activated yet. Still, with the Discovery Media you get a very slick Infotainment System for a moderate price which (due to a new processor) is significantly faster than the "small" navigation system in the Golf 7.
