Riva 310 HP Kit for the Yamaha 1.8L Supercharged SHO Engine
Riva Motorsports offers an aftermarket kit that increases the horsepower of the Yamaha 1.8L Supercharged SHO Engine to 310HP. The Yamaha SHO engine is available in the Yamaha FZR, FZS, FX Cruiser SHO and FX SHO WaveRunners.
Riva's Dave Bamdas explains how the kit works.
How to Easily Add 40-hp to Your Yamaha FX SHO, FZR or FZS WaveRunner
The Riva/Athena Pro-Series ECU provides a huge performance advantage to the
Yamaha 1.8L Engine delivering over 40-hp to the stock SHO engine. ECU is
fully programmable with either RIVA supplied mapping or user adjustable
parameters. Most calibrations require use 91+ octane pump fuel. Plugs
directly into factory wiring harness via waterproof connectors.
RIVA Yamaha FZR/FZS/FX-SHO Performance Power Filter Kit
Our Power Filter feeds your supercharged 'SHO' engine a steady diet of cool
air delivering greatly improved acceleration and rpm. Replaces restrictive
stock air box with a high-volume, precision-formed intake duct that
attaches to the Supercharger via a large
4" adapter. Cool air enters the system via an oversized K&N filter element.
Includes water-repellent pre-filter and detailed installation instructions.

Wreaking havoc on the laws of physics.
The FZR is a different kind of machine. One that craves edge-to-edge riding
and a wide open throttle. One that reaches 30 mph in under two seconds.
And one that runs on adrenaline — turning it into raw power,
performance and World Championships. With its supercharged, intercooled 1.8
liter Super High Output Yamaha Marine engine, the FZR has the get-up-and-go
of a thoroughbred, yet manages incredible edge-to-edge inside lean
capabilities thanks to its agile, lightweight NanoXcel® hull. A
sport-bolstered, ergonomically designed seat keeps you firmly in the saddle
during extreme riding conditions. The undeniable power of the FZR continues
to drive it to the top of the podium.
