I couldn't get concentrated until about lap 5. On lap 3 I almost lost it and ended up losing 2 or 3 positions. Had a good group of people to race with and made it back to 3rd place. Had a little contact going into the sharp downhill corner and putted someone because I was a little careless, sorry about that Anthony. Other than the first lap gitters it was a fun and competitive race.

Well...not much of a video. I started 7th and made my way up to 4th by the end of lap one after all the lap 1 shenanigans. Then I spun out... I can't decide if I like this car yet. It feels really unstable at times, but other times it feels great.

Great first race of the season in the Grand Touring Cup series racing the MX-5. Started 2nd in my class. First laps were a little sketchy, almost lost control a couple times and my speaker feel of the top of my monitor twice lol. After the traffic settled down I was cruising in 3rd while Carl and George battled for the lead. Carl left me and George to battle for second. I was trying my hardest to get past George, but he was having none of it by placing his car right where I needed to go. With about 8 minutes to go George and I had multiple side by side racing, but I could never carry my momentum to finish the pass. George did an awesome job staying focused, I was just waiting for him to make the slightest mistake. Good clean racing. I keep putting it off because I'm waiting to get the transducers mounted but that project keeps getting pushed back. It was time to just break it out and have some fun! This was my first time playing iRacing in several months (I can't even remember the last race I did) and it shows in my driving. I have a wreck very early in the race and it messes with my nerves for the rest of the race. But I'm still happy to be back in the drivers seat and I will be doing some more practice before my next race. I lost a few points off my license and my iRating but to be honest my iRating was already in the trash from not playing for so long. The top screen displaying the real time data is called iRDDU and is a fantastic program. I highly recommend it if you have a setup similar to mine. I also cranked up the system and graphics memory settings in iRacing and enable extra detail textures which make the in-game graphics look so much better.
