The Mitsubishi Galant Λ (Lambda) is a two-door hardtop coupé built by Mitsubishi Motors from 1976 to 1984. From 1978 it was exported under various names; as the Mitsubishi Sapporo in Europe and South America (named for the Japanese city of Sapporo, Hokkaido), the Dodge Challenger and Plymouth Sapporo in North America and Puerto Rico, and the Chrysler Scorpion and later the Mitsubishi Scorpion in Australia. It was also sold as a Sapporo in the United Kingdom under the Colt brand.
Introduced in Japan in December 1976, the Lambda was described not as a coupé but a "personal luxury car", as Mitsubishi already had the Lancer-based Celeste coupé in its line-up.
The car was marketed in North America as a captive import of the Dodge and Plymouth divisions of Chrysler; the cars differed only in minor details such as taillights, interior trim and available colors. Despite being mechanically identical, the Dodge was positioned to appeal to the performance market while the Plymouth was targeted at the luxury market.
Although the car received generally positive reviews, it was not overly successful in the United States. The discontinuance of the Sapporo after the 1983 model year helped make way for the products of the newly formed Chrysler-Mitsubishi joint-venture, Diamond Star Motors, as well as the entrance of Mitsubishi into the American market under its own name.
In Australia the car was imported from Japan as a flagship model to Chrysler Australia's highly successful Sigma range.
1977 Mitsubishi Galant Λ (Lambda) 2000 "Super Touring"
This is my first video from the Mitsubishi Auto Gallery in Okazaki. It's a
1977 Mitsubishi Galant Λ (Lambda), a car that us Australians would call a
Scorpion. Turns out it has quite a few names.

introduced in the 1974 model year at the height of the Arab Oil Embargo and
Fuel Crisis. 218,049 Dodge C Platform Monacos were produced in the 1974

1978 Dodge Omni vs VW Rabbit Golf & Toyota & Datsun Chi Chi Rodrigeuz
This Dodge Promo film was made in the Fall of 1977 for the January 1978
Introduction of the Dodge Omni. Chrysler Corporation introduced it's first
world car'. This car was in production from Fall of 77 till Spring of 89.
They were sold as Dodge Omni, Plymouth Horizon, Chrysler Horizon in the UK
and the Simca Talbot Horizon in France. 165,000 cars were sold in the USA
in it's first year of production. The US version used a VW engine block
with Chrysler Parts attached which is kind of ironic considering that they
are comparing the car to the VW Rabbit (Golf) in this film. Chi Chi
Rodriguez does the intro for this film. Wink Martindale does the voice
over for this. These films were produced by the Roy Ross Advertising
agency for Chrysler. They were filmed in Palm Springs. Apologies for the
bad sound quality after about 3 minutes, it's a film that's over 30 years
2012 Mitsubishi Galant SE Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Tour
Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! YouTube's largest collection of automotive
variety! In today's video, we will take an up close and personal in depth
look at the final production year of the Mitsubishi Galant SE. This
particular one being one of the most loaded Galants available. The Galant
hasn't changed much since it's last major redesign except for a few
refreshes, but it still remains a nice value for your dollar if you want an
affordable sports sedan without silly frills. A great car for those old
school drivers who would rather have less technology in a tight, reliable
traveler. A 4cyl is its only powertrain option and produces smooth power
and nice reliability scores. During this presentation, we will take a 1st
person look at what the car is all about beginning with the start up,
performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build
quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and
exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get
from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight
key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available
options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the
good ole engine portion with rev and Exhaust note with interior and exterior
perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a
greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will
find in depth reviews/tour of automobiles from all over the world,
presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. Basically, this
gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you
can get without going to an actual dealer yourself! Every video is
consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect in my
presentations. I treat every vehicle with the same respect whether a 1960
Chevrolet Impala SS or the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador. I film all types of
vehicles from past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of
the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new,
exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have
built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. I wanted
to share my love for the automotive world with the rest of the world. Be
sure to explore the massive video variety, have fun and enjoy The Driver's
Seat of YouTube!
