Buick - History Documentary (1995)
This video is a wonderfully-done documentary, written and produced by Michael Rose, on the history of Buick as presented in 1995 from the History Channel's archive. Here is Michael's description of the video verbatim: "No one would have believed that the tinkering of a plumber would turn into the foundation of the world's largest corporation. But it did. David Dunbar Buick invented a process to adhere porcelain to tubs and other bathroom fixtures. But the Scottish immigrant dreamed of making a mark out of the bathroom, and set to work building a car. By 1900, he enlisted the aid of another inventor, Walter Marr, and they built their first vehicle. Their invention attracted the attention of one of Michigan's wealthiest men, William Crapo Durant, the president of the world's largest buggy-building business. As soon as he drove one of Buick's early creations, Durant realized that the days of the horse and buggy were over. He teamed up with Buick, and the two went on to make history. By the thirties, Buicks were regarded as some of the finest cars ever made. From the first Buicks through the birth of General Motors and into history, this is the compelling story of the partnership that eventually became the basis for the largest company in the world."

1971 Cutlass SX455 Convertible 442 W30 Clone Classic Muscle Car for Sale in MI Vanguard Motor Sales
http://www.ClassicCarBuyingSecrets.com Click now for an instant download on "How to Avoid the 7 Deadliest Mistakes of Buying a Classic Car Online"! 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible SX455, 442 W-30 Clone History In 1970 and 1971 Oldsmobile introduced a notchback intermediate called the Cutlass Supreme. This new Oldsmobile was available with a special named the Cutlass Supreme SX. The Cutlass SX featured a 455ci engine, a 400 turbo Hydra-matic transmission, a cut out rear bumper with dual Exhaust, special SX badges on the fenders and other goodies not found on a standard Cutlass Supreme. In 1971 there was only one Cutlass SX engine option. The production numbers for this two-year-only (1970-71) model are less than half of the highly collectable Oldsmobile 442 models, plus many of the Cutlass SX cars were sent to the junk yard crusher before the car became collectable. The Olds Cutlass SX is truly a very rare GM muscle car! All 1970-71 Cutlass Supremes had the same basic VIN codes, so identifying a real Cutlass SX can be difficult. The Cutlass SX cars are valued at 20-25 percent more than a regular Cutlass Supreme model. The Cutlass SX is certainly THE "undiscovered" General Motors muscle car, and will continue to gain in popularity and value as more collector car enthusiasts discover these cars. Sophisticated styling, luxury options and big block performance make the Cutlass SX a great gentleman's muscle car. VIN 342671M186338 Rotisserie Restoration. 1965 BUICK SKYLARK CONVERTIBLE SOLD Drager's 206-533-9600
1965 BUICK SKYLARK CONVERTIBLE. # 444675H121712. I like finding cars like this. I got the original window sticker with it showing it was sold in Mountain View California. Also the Protect-O-Plate showing it was sold to the first owner 11/27/1964 living in Saratoga California. Im not sure when it came to Washington but I got a lot of receipts from as far back as 1993 in Seattle. The receipts show the engine was rebuilt 2004. When I bought it the owner had bought a new carpet kit but had not installed it so my son Andrew did. You will see current floor pan photos. Floor pans look great. The window sticker shows wire wheel covers and they are still on the car. Another neat thing that shows on the window sticker Custom Trim Bucket Seats. You can expect to find a few spots in the paint and it has some, nothing big. Minor rust bubbles too. The top is old and shows age but should last a long time. For me the top is alI ways down except when my wife wants it up. Its triple white. V-8 with automatic transmission. Power steering. Power brakes. Power top. Came with front seat belts and the rear seat belts have been added. In the trunk we found very small rust holes in the floor. All serviced and safety checked. Installed new wheel cylinders on the front along with new front brake lining. You will like driving this car. Every Buick I have had in the 60s I have liked. They are great cars. You can drive this Buick anywhere. Im looking forward to driving it a lot before its sold. Im pricing it to sell in this market. I have found them for sale from rough cond. to fine from $6,000 to $28,000. Cond. # 3-. Dragers International Classic Sales 18805 Aurora Ave. N. 1965 Buick Skylark Gran Sport hardtop
Beautiful car, with a Wildcat engine...401 c.i. behemoth. Is it any wonder these cars could GO! Buick was certainly not going to be ignored within General Motors..and could be very competitive with Chevelle, GTO and Cutlass ! The ingredients were the same...big engine, relatively small, lightweight car.

1968 Pontiac Firebird Convertible Classic Muscle Car for Sale in MI Vanguard Motor Sales
http://www.ClassicCarBuyingSecrets.com Click now for an instant download on "How to Avoid the 7 Deadliest Mistakes of Buying a Classic Car Online"! Pontiac fans, have we got a treat for you! This properly restored 1968 Firebird features a fresh V8, 700R4 transmission, posi-traction rear end and a killer paint job. Add in a stack of documents that include restoration photos, and receipts, and you end up with a slam dunk of a drop-top cruiser that's ready for the show field or the open road. The quality work throughout the body is apparent. Thousands of dollars were spent on the 2006 restoration. The floors and trunk are spotless. This was never a rusty car. Panel gaps are precise and the dark blue pearl paint is better than they were applying to new cars in 1967. It has all been buffed to an eye-popping shine. All of the chrome and stainless trim is equally nice. Mechanically, this car is the real deal. The 8 cylinder engine is beautifully painted, and has seen only 1,250 miles since the restoration. The engine bay is exceptionally well detailed throughout. Ceramic coated headers, MSD ignition, a high torque starter, aluminum radiator, single plane polished aluminum intake, oversized water pump pulley and stainless fuel and cooler lines have all been included in the restoration. Underneath, it's just as nice. The 700 R4 automatic transmission feeds a 3:73 posi-traction, powder coated, rear end. New 2.5" Exhaust, power front disc brakes and a park brake, cross dilled rotors, QA1 adjustable shocks and lowering spindles are also present. The restorer went through and had the control arms, front wheel wells and the frame all powder coated as well. This is a car that drives exactly the way a new car would have in 1968. The rear wheels are Budnik 20" wearing 275/35/ZR20 tires, and the fronts are Budnik 18" with 235/40/ZR18 tires. 248-974-9513 The black leather interior is very well done. The front bucket seats and the back bench seat are both in near perfect condition. The center console with wood grain detail is beautiful as well. It is also equipped with an AM/FM radio, tilt wheel and seatbelts. Door panels, carpets, and the white vinyl convertible top, are all in excellent condition. Calling this a nice car just doesn't do it justice. This is a gorgeous car with an impeccable pedigree and a huge helping of performance thrown in just for fun. This is an investment-grade automobile, and at this price, you couldn't duplicate the restoration on this car. It's in a league of its own among early Firebirds. Call today, because like its GTO cousin, this one won't stay long! 248-974-9513 www.vanguardmotorsales.com

1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 Convertible 455 V8 Muscle Car
I thought you'd like a look at this awesome 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 convertible. This car is powered by the 455 Rocket V8 that is pumping out over 370 HP and 500 LbFt of torque. It has been nicely restored all the way around and it features some interesting and desirable options. It has the Hurst "His and Hers" shifter, the tic toc tach, and the functional ram-air hood. It just an amazing example of the muscle car era. Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate it! 9 Second Buick GSX Stage2 GS Stage1 9.51 @ 140
We originally built this car with Frank Urbinati back in 1996.It debuted at the GS Nationals where it won the GS Pro Street class races. It was also the 1st GS Pro Street class car to break into the 9's at the time. Thanks to Frank this project came to life. Fast forward to 2010 and the car has been taken over by Bob Ortolani, the car still looks great and Bob decided to bring it up another level. We were happy to have the car come back to our shop and to have the opportunity to work with Bob and put together the new powerplant. The video shows the results of our 1st day out to tune the engine. The 1st two passes were shakedowns to check fuel/oil pressures and get a feel for the new combo. By the 3rd run we had posted a 9.62 @ 138 hitting the 7100rpm rev limiter chip! The 4th run was a 9.52 @ 140. On the 5th run it went 9.51 @ 140.65! After a good cool down and a timing adjustment we were ready to try for a 9.40 run, launching right off idle the car gave us a nice big unexpected wheelie! The wheelie sure lookes cool but we know we can go quicker with a little more suspension work to straighten out the launch and try to keep the front down. We're sure it'll go into the 9.40's yet and maybe even 30's after everything is worked out.
