BMW M3 DKG DCT Convertible vs Mercedes Benz C63 AMG
Mercedes Benz E400 CDI Acceleration 0 - 250km/h
The Mercedes-Benz W211 series entered production in 2002. They are sold
under the E-Class model names. The W211 models replaced the W210 E-Class
The W211 E-Class continues the line's push upmarket. The W211-based W219
CLS-Class was new for 2005. In 2001 Mercedes made a facelift for the W210
which began the launch of the W211. Although this was a complete facelift
for the sedan, the wagon retains the rear of the W210 vehicles, except that
it is slightly more rounded.
Current (MY 08') E-Class Saloons (Sedans) and Estates (wagon) variants All
prices are MSRP for cars sold in the US market. Those sold in other part of
the world only will be priced by the starting MSRP in Germany (due to the
full range of available engines there) in Euros as well as in British
Pounds. Engine size is listed in CC (cubic centimetre). Figures are for
automatic transmition models only, however manuals are available on most
models. Models are available in Estate (or T-modell) variants.
The E63 AMG is a new model for 2007 offered in Sedan and Wagon body styles.
It features an AMG designed and built 6,208-cc, DOHC, 32-valve V-8. This
engine has a high-pressure die-cast alloy cylinder block with twin-wire arc
spray coated running surfaces. It develops net horse power of 507 hp (378
kW) @ 6,800 rpm and net torque 465 lb·ft (630 N·m) @ 5,200 rpm.
Compression ratio is 11.3:1. According to many auto journalists, the E63
AMG is the quickest production sports sedan in the world. Both the Sedan
and Wagon reach 60 mph (100 km/h) from a stanstill in 4 seconds flat. The
main reason for the power upgrade from the E55 AMG is directly related to
BMW's introduction of the 500 hp (370 kW) M5, and the release of the 2007
Audi RS6, boasting in excess of 550 hp (410 kW).

Mercedes-Benz S 63 AMG
Mercedes-Benz S 550 / S 500
We had the chance to drive the all new 2014 Mercedes-Benz S 65 AMG (V222)
for three days in the surrounds of Bielefeld and Dortmund. Here is our In
Depth Review of the strongest Mercedes-Benz S-Class, 2014 Mercedes-Benz S
65 AMG (V222). We enjoyed our test drive with the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S 65
AMG (V222), we hope you will like our video review as well. Make sure you
dont miss the Start Up and the Exhaust
intro about the car
With the introduction of the W140 in 1991 in Geneva, Mercedes introduced a
12 cylinder engine in a S-Class for the first time, reacting to BMW effort
with the 7 series top modell. In 2004 Mercedes introduced the first S65 AMG
(after they already offered a AMG powered V12 in the S55 AMG). Last year I
was able to be part of the world premiere of the new S-Class, now be called
222 series and the debut of the all new S 65 AMG which had its debut at the
LA auto show 2013.
Let me get the facts out of the way first. The S65 AMG has a fine 6 Liter
V12 engine (for those Mercedes freaks - its the M279) that comes with 630
hp. Between 2.300-4.300 rpm it gives you a maximum torque of 1.000 Nm -
equals 738 foot pound of torque. All this power goes right to the rear.
Even though the Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG weights 2250 kg (which equals 4960
pound), it accelarates from 0 to 100 km/h or even from 0 to 60 mph in 4.3
seconds. The topspeed is reached at 250 km/h / 155 mph - unless you spend
some extra bucks on the AMG drivers package - doing that your speed rush
will not end before reaching the 300 km/h, or 186 mph.
Ok, you can close your mouth and dream on. At least in Germany, you need at
least 232.050 Euros or 222.000 U$ to buy a S65 AMG. But then you have a
whole bunch of premium options included that you pay for extra on the
regular s-class for instance the AIR-BALANCE package, the Burmester High
End 3D-Surround Soundsystem with the COMAND Online infotainment-System, the
LED Intelligent Light System, Park-Assist package, MAGIC VISION CONTROL,
SPLITVIEW, the seat package with the massage functions and the panoramic
Mercedes builds an 80 Liter (21 gallons) tank in the S65 AMG and says you
can get a milage of 19.8 mpg (equals 11.9 liters for 100 kilometers). So in
theory at least, you should be able to drive a distance of 600 km / 373
miles without getting gas. Honestly, I even believe it is possible, but
then ... who would buy this car to drive it all slow and carefully instead
of just making the V12 roar. Yeah right, and not disable the ECO-Start
Just to rund up those numbers and figures - the S65 AMG only comes as the
long version called V222 (the short version is the W222) and it is 5.29m
long (17 feet 5 inch), 2.13m wide (7 feet) including the mirrors and its
height is 1.5m (5 feet). It has a turn radius of 12.3m (40 feet 5 inch).
Overall you are allowed to store up to 500 kg (1102 pound) in the car.

Benz v Bimmer: 2008 Mercedes C63 AMG vs. 2008 BMW M3 Sedan
There will be no Camaro
vs. Mustang death match
this week due to a distinct lack of Camaro, so can we interest you
instead in a muscle-car comparison test? Here we have two classic
nameplates, each with a 400-horsepower V8 stuffed into a
smallish four-door body shell and powering only the rear wheels.
Naturally we're referring to those two paragons of modern muscle, the 2008
BMW M3 Sedan and the 2008 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG.
Don't be confused by the German nameplates, the aura of high-tech
engineering and the rarefied price tags. The 2008 BMW M3 Sedan and 2008
Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG match up as naturally as any muscle cars on Woodward
Avenue during the 1960s.
