(31,500km) It has been garaged it's entire life. It has never been winter driven, and has seldom seen rain... No smoking ever. This car is not restored, it has never had any paint work of any kind. The body and interior are almost perfect. The engine compartment has not been detailed. The car is kept in climate control and only driven a few times each year to car shows. It has an EPA-mpg rating of 28 city and 41 highway! It is powered by a 1.4 liter 4-cylinder engine with a 4-speed manual transmission. Cutting the roof off a car (Datsun B210) to make a converted (not convertible)
A bunch of guys decide to do something a bit different this day in June 1990, while at Central Michigan University (CMU) for a graduation party. They decide to chop the roof off of a Datsun B210 that was bought for just $125. It is quite funny, so take a look. This is how to make a convertable car. It is amazing how much structural support is provided by having an intact roof on a car. Driving this was dangerous, and it should not be done at home.

1978 Datsun 120y (B210) Coupe. MX5 1.8 vvt engine
280ZX front struts converted to coilover and 280Zx vented disc brakes. Axle is Ford English shortened with plated LSD diff and Quaife shafts converted to 114.3 Datsun PCD. rear brakes are RS2000 spec 9inch. 250lb front springs, leaf springs have extra leaf fitted plus axle has tramp bars. Engine is standard Mazda MX5 apart from modified plenum to increase volume and ported intake runners. 150ish BHP I sold this car in 2013. i do miss it but i need to finish off my F20c powered Honda S800. hopefully a video in a few years time. should be fun.

The Defect III (Datsun 120Y) lives!
July 1974 Datsun 120Y 4 door Sedan, which is known in some markets as a B-210 or Honeybee - it started life as a A12/3 speed Auto/H145 diff car - it's now is a B310 (Sunny) A12/ smoothcase four speed and BW68 diff in it as well as late model Australian 120Y sedan front suspension as well the original A12 engine was seized... so I updated as much of it as I could to Aussie late model 120Y Sedan mechanicals
