2013 Chevrolet Sonic RS First Drive Review & 0-60 MPH Test
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2013 Chevrolet Sonic RS is a small turbo-charged pocket rocket that's fun to drive. But is it faster than the Sonic turbo? That's a question that we answer in this first drive review as we drive, test and review the new RS version of the Sonic turbo in San Francisco. Of course we don't just drive the new Sonic RS, we also put it to the the TFLcar real world test 0-60 MPH test. So how fast is the new Sonic RS 0-60 MPH? Watch this video to find out.

2014 Chevrolet Sonic RS 1.4L Turbo Test Drive Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/chevrolet/sonic/2014/?id=32972 The Chevrolet Sonic should be on your shopping list for a couple of reasons: 1) The car is very cheap with a starting price of $14,170 2) It is one of the few small cars actually built in America 3) The Sonic drives and handles well 4) The car is very safe with 10 airbags On the inside the Sonic is cheeky and playful. The instrument set-up is unique combining both analog and digital gauges. The brushed silver trim and fake suede is nice enough. The driver's compartment is roomy and easy to see the road. The basic Sonic engine is a naturally aspirated 1.8 liter. But this Sonic RS has a 1.4 liter ECOTEC turbocharged 4-cylinder which is peppy and eager. The Sonic puts together some great ingredients resulting in a very satisfying overall experience. This RS model starts at $20k after all is said and done. 2012 Chevy Sonic LTZ
General Motors yanked back the sheets on its newest sub-compact from Chevrolet; the 2012 Sonic. The five-door hatch and four-door sedan models will be available with either a standard 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine or an optional turbo'd 1.4-liter mill that can be ordered up with either a five-speed manual trans or a six-speed slushbox. At the time of the unveiling, GM was mum on the Sonic's estimated miles per gallon rating but The General is now ready to talk a little mpg. The automaker is saying that the 2012 subcompact Sonic will achieve up to 40 mpg highway when it hits the market this fall. Though none of the numbers have been finalized by the EPA, GM's projected mileage figures seem highly likely considering that the Sonic packs the same powertrains as the heftier Chevrolet Cruze. The Cruze, which is rated at 24/36 mpg city/highway, obviously outweighs the Sonic and, therefore, we expect it to be the less fuel efficient vehicle of the two. For the sake of comparison, the outgoing Aveo, equipped with a manual trans, achieved an EPA rating of 25/35 mpg city/highway. The Sonic's 40-mpg rating would place it on par with the Ford Fiesta and ahead of both the Honda Fit and the Toyota Yaris

2014 Ford Fiesta vs Chevy Sonic Turbo vs the Ike Gauntlet Mashup Review ( Part 1)
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2014 Ford Fiesta and Chevy Sonic turbo are small economy cars that almost directly compete. Of course the difference is that the Fiesta is normally aspirated while the sonic has a small turbo. How does this effect a cars performance when the road gets steep, the altitude get hight and the car is loaded to the rafters with with people? From Dillion, Colorado to the Eisenhower Tunnel U.S. I-70 climbs 8 miles to a maximum elevation of 11,158 feet or 3,401 meters. That's enough elevation and grade to test a small economy car like the 2014 Ford Fiesta and the Chevy Sonic turbo. In Part 1 of another accurate, informative and fun TFLcar mashup review Nathan, Emme, Andre and Roman take on the Ike Gauntlet in the new Chevy Sonic turbo to see how these small cars handle the steep grade and lack of air density in the Mountains of Colorado. 2012 Chevrolet Sonic LT Sedan Start Up, Quick Tour, & Rev With Exhaust View - 1K
2012 Chevrolet Sonic LT This Sonic has the 138 HP 1.8L DOHC 4 Cyl & it's paired to a 6 speed auto. The Sonic has quite a large engine considering it's a sub-compact. Though I feel this to be a rather unrefined engine. A tad on the buzzy side & somewhat excessively noisy at idle which concerns me. Not sure if it's this car or normal operation of this engine. It's quite comfortable up in front but the back seat is off limits for tall passenger. I really hope running into the hatch version next.
