Here are some of the cool things I saw on the way to the September 2012 Caffeine and Octane car show, onboard my friend's 1997 Mazda Miata...
You can see us encounter a G37X sedan, a couple Mustangs with a Firebird, and a pack of BMWs... enjoy and stay tuned!
Miata returns - Startup and acceleration
Just a quick video of my buddy's Miata after getting it back on the road,
minus a fender and front bumper...
Hope everyone is having a Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
Caffeine and Octane September 2012 Sounds (1/3)
I compiled some clips from the September 2012 Caffeine and Octane car show,
each including some nice sounds from the awesome cars that showed up...
Stay tuned for more from C&O!
Miata wreck - Onboard and aftermath!
For my 1,000th video, I chose to upload something that isn't exactly
cheerful or celebratory, but it is something I wanted to share, something I
wanted to be able to look back on and reminisce about...
My friend and I were attacking a twisty road when we took a curve a bit too
fast and slid off the road into a ditch, damaging the control arm, strut,
pushing the frame back, and more! At the end of the day the damage wasn't
so bad, and we were able to hop out of the car after the incident, so we
can't complain about the outcome!
The car is in the process of being repaired now... Please, keep any
negative comments to yourself- it could happen to anyone!
Mazda Miata onboard drifting/donuts!!
I recently took a ride in my friend Ali's Miata to test out the great gift
he gave me: a camera mount! This is just what I needed to take my videos to
the next level, so HUGE thanks to Ali!!
In the video, you can see footage from both my Sony Cyber-Shot DSC H70
(mounted on the side window) and my CX-100 camcorder that I also took
along, as we mess around a bit in the Mazda...
More videos of Ali's Miata in action can be found here:
And, of course, photos of my new mount can be found on my blogger page...
Thanks for watching! What do you think of my new camera mount?
Miatas At The Gap XVI, July 27-29, 2012 - A Highlight Video
Miatas At The Gap XVI, a gathering of Miata enthusiasts at Deals Gap, North
Carolina, took place the weekend of July 27-29, 2012. This is a video of
highlights from the event, including footage from the vendor's area at
Fontana Village, the Thursday Night Sunset Run on the Cherohala Skyway, the
Fat Buddies BBQ Run down Wayah Road, the gathering at Fontana Dam for the
group picture, the Saturday Night Beer Swap and Wine Tasting, many of the
other area roads and of course the beautiful scenery. Enjoy the highlights
along with my music, which was written specifically for this event.
Special thanks to Fontana Village Resort, Fontana Dam, NC for yet again
going above and beyond to make sure we all had a great time. We will be

The Answer is Always Miata - /TUNED
Ask any car guy, what would make a good first car? Miata. What would make a
good weekend car? Miata. What would make a good tuner car? Miata. What
would be a good race car? Miata. What could I drive that Chris Harris won't
like? Miata. It seems the answer is always Miata. This week, CJ Wilson
Racing and Continental Tire invite us to Austin, TX to test two of their
best Miatas on the track.
Matt Farah's $500 Lemon -- /LIVE AND LET DRIVE
Alex teams up with TUNED's Matt Farah for a 3,000-mile trip into the wilds
of Canada to pick up a Honda CRX Farah bought for $500 -- sight-unseen.
Will it be the perfect 24 Hours of Lemons entry, or too much crap to
Pedders and HoonTV Mazda Mx5 project car
Pedders recently teamed up with independent film maker Mark Boxer to bring
you the HoonTV Mazda Mx5 project car. Mark Boxer says "Earlier this year we
put this video together of our MX5 being fitted with all new Pedders
eXtreme coil-overs. Originally when we took the car to the Wakefield Park,
just running the lowered springs we pulled out, the car managed a 1:16.3
with only a basic brake upgrade, intake Exhaust and Advan AD08 tyres. We're happy to say
that with the eXtreme coil-overs fitted, we shaved off a whole second and
got the car down to a 1:15.1. The amazing part too is that this was with no
major adjustments to the suspension given the amount available and as the
day progressed we suffered a sticky rear brake caliper which affected
braking performance, yet were still able to go just as fast!"
Best GTR launch control reaction ever
Courage is strong in this beautiful GTR Pilot! She took the directions
given to her and just rolled with it!
I love the part where the fear takes over body control, which makes it hard
for her to think straight to let off the gas to make it stop. Hahahahaha
This is by far the best GTR Reaction I have ever seen with for GTR Launch
How to Spray Paint a Car at Home Yourself (Aerosol)
See the Materials Used Here
Refinish Network consists of various professional and enthusiast painters
whom work collectively to help eachother out using the websites discussion
forum. You will also find various helpful 'how to' articles from painting
to body repairs.
This video illustrates how to paint a car using only aerosol spray cans. It
is best to use a spray gun where possible, however it is possible to paint
a car yourself with an Aerosol Spray Can.
