BEST BURNOUT EVER! SUMMERNATS GUINNESS WORLD RECORD BURNOUT!
Summernats 26 broke a Guinness World Record for the most amount of cars in
simultaneous burnout on January 4, 2013 in Canberra, Australia. When the
massive blanket of smoke eventually cleared, Chris Sheedy from Guinness
World Records told the 10,000 plus crowd that exactly 69 cars had managed
to complete a 30 second burnout. Sixty nine. That's a 'Nats kind of number.
Drivers came from all across Australia to fry their tyres together in this
historic event, some traveling thousands of kilometres from Western
Australian and Northern Queensland to take part in the rare feat.
138 tyres x 30 seconds x over 35,000 horsepower = 1 world record.
Thank you to the drivers, staff and sponsors for making this incredible

Summernats 27 - Day 4
All the action from Day Four at Summernats 27, including burnout masters,
Miss Summernats, the Dyno and much more.
Summernats 26 - Day Four
The action was hot on and off the track today. My plan was to check out
lots more than I did on Day four at Summernats but with other duties I
ended up missing more than I got. Sorry about the lack of show cars, and
cruising etc. The rain certainly put a damper on the nights activities with
the PPG Supercruise being cancelled, but they still had the fireworks and
finished off with Rose Tattoo.
Summernats 27 - Day 1
We check out scrutineering at Summernats 27 before the event kicks off
properly tomorrow. Keep your eyes open for our daily updates and don't
forget the subscribe.
Summernats 25 NUCKINFUTS burnout
Steve Nogas does a ripper burnout in his Gemini "NUCKINFUTS", after being
told he wasn't allowed to compete two cars away from the start. Steve is
now banned for life from Summernats after forcing his way illegally onto
the track, which I did not capture.

Summernats 26 - Day Three
Friday at Summernats 26 started with a bang. First up there was the
Guinness World Record for Largest Simultaneous Burnout with 69 cars on the
pad at the same time, then it was into burnout qualifying with a massive
amount of action there. All the while there was constant cruising, show car
judging and Dyno
(which we'll try and get to today) and then it was time for the unveiling
in the Meguairs Pavilion and the Hilltop Hoods on the main stage - and I've
got to say it was the first time I'd heard them, but they were AWESOME!
Can't wait until Saturday.
