Close Call at Lime Rock Park 05-30-2013
Having a nice morning lapping with SCDA at Lime Rock, minding my own
business, when things get a little tricky.., about two and a half minutes
in,keep your eyes on the little green car two cars ahead of me, especially
when it goes into the uphill right-hander.

Z06, with data overlay on screen. Lots of traffic, so no real clear lap,
fastest lap is the last one. T1 suspension, AP Racing brakes, 407whp,
Continental slicks, very heavy car (no weight reduction).

Behind The Wheel: 2013 BMW M3 Lime Rock Park Edition
BMW has a history of using racetrack names for their paint colors:
Marrakesh Brown, Laguna Seca Blue and Dakar Yellow. But the 2013 BMW M3
Lime Rock Park Edition ($80,000, as tested) is the first time they've used
one on an actual car and the first time the iconic track has lent its name
to a carmaker — and quite a car, indeed. The standard set up brings an M
6-speed manual transmission, Competition Package and Fire Orange carbon
fiber bits to the exterior; the inside is treated to black cloth trimmed in
Napa Leather and a flat-bottomed Anthracite Alcantara-covered steering
wheel. The driver, meanwhile, is treated to palpable joy all the way up to
an 8,300 RPM redline.
