1988 Saab 900 Turbo Convertible, Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Tour
In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 1988 Saab 900 turbo Convertible. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
Turbo Saab 900 B202 engine sound, loud Turbo spool or whine
I ported and half polished this cast manifold and sprayed it with a ceramic coating on the inside and on the outside for better thermal insulation.
The old 5 bolt flange plate is a nightmare and slows the turbo down way to much, its not the cast collar like everybody thinks is the problem, its the small port that creates back pressure and reduces Exhaust velocity.
1989 Saab 900 Turbo Glasspack Exhaust
Stock Exhaust piping, but de-catted with a w-core glasspack muffler manufactured from a local Exhaust shop. The sound isn't quite captured the way it should be. You can't completely hear the low tone the Exhaust resonates at idle and lower RPM's. As normally said by people, it does sound a lot better in person.
Video was taken using QIK from an EVO 4G.
